Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
can we talk about how badass the shirts were? I wanted to buy all four immediately but calmed myself down and just got the one with the blue flame thing on it. I love that it looks like a 1980's metal band tour shirt.
I bought a shirt at Boston Yeezus show
It's the Black Skinhead one, with the black-hooded KKK and the tour dates on the back
it is fantastic and no one knows how to react when I wear it
Can we just mark these people off as horrible, racist, ignorant, assholes and move on with it and talk about how great the lord and savior was on Friday?
Can we please stop making comments like this? We're talking about music, attitude and delivery of a performance. The vast majority of people on inforoo (including me) and across America actually, could give two shiz's about the color of a performers skin. Would you say the same of a black guy who openly voiced his criticism of Jack White's performance and/or music, a racist, ignorant asshole? No. All people, on all sides of any issue need to move beyond using skin color as a reason to ridicule, judge, demean.
A lot of the criticism of Kanye around here and elsewhere is racially motivated. Just because you refuse to believe it doesn't make it not so.
we can only hope!!!!!! good music or not, his attitude sucks! based on that alone I say bonnaroo is not the place for him!
he should probably adopt your attitude, you seem to have it all sorted out.
radiate positivity and all.
I call it how I see it. you can be a fan without being ignorant. Just because you like him doesn't mean you have to over look the fact that he has a horrible attitude.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

So people showed up to his show to boo him, but KANYE is the one with the shitty attitude, not Bonnaroo fans? Got it.
Also, did anyone get a Yeezus shirt who'd like to trade with me? I bought a large of the grim reaper, but it's kinda small so I'd like to have an XL if anyone would be willing to swap? It hasn't been worn yet...only tried on.

I enjoyed the set a lot but I was a little disappointed. I got there late after NMH and couldn't see super well, and Kanye's mic sounded really muted where I was in the right side of the field.
Still dug the songs a lot and enjoyed the rants. There were a ton of people around be bitching the whole time, and a big group of people behind me cheered and threw their hands up when he asked "where the press at?" which is when he pointed out there pissed off and said something like "YALL AINT THE PRESS, WHERE THE PRESS?"
He did seem a little insane when he asked "Who here came from out of town? Be honest." as if 99% of the people there don't come from out of town regardless of whether kanye is there

I'm pretty comfortable with my statement here. People say shitty, racially-tinged stuff about Kanye and other rappers around here all the time. It's by far the worst thing about inforoo.

Isn't it funny how the Bonnaroo/Kanye situation might be even further away from being resolved now that the festival had him back? I think this will bring closure at least to some degree when we get a little bit away from this year's Bonnaroo. I hope at least.
My friends who went, but already disliked Kanye made fun of his set. My wife who legitimately hated him a few months ago said it wasn't that bad. I count that as a win on some level.
Also, did anyone get a Yeezus shirt who'd like to trade with me? I bought a large of the grim reaper, but it's kinda small so I'd like to have an XL if anyone would be willing to swap? It hasn't been worn yet...only tried on.
Anyone at all?
cant trade but might be willing to buy it off you. pm me if you want

Could you kindly point to a racially motivated criticism in this thread? This is a very tired statement, considering the fact that most people attending Bonnaroo are on the open-minded end of the spectrum of political and social beliefs.
I am fairly new to inforoo, but what I have observed (especially in this thread) is a bunch of overly sensitive babies that can't handle when others are criticizing something they enjoy, so they lash out with personal insults, including calling us "racist," "idiots," or other similarly baseless hatefulness. I guess this is why I don't spend hours upon hours daily on internet message boards arguing with strangers. Seems pretty silly to put others down for their opinions.
All of us- including Kanye West- are insignificant miniscule specks of dust in a giant universe. None of this is that important, folks. Get the heck over yourselves.

Just last week we had a serious conversation around here about whether or not it was okay for white kids to use the word n*gga in casual conversation. You're out of your depth on this.
I was waiting for 10 hours, I'm not going to let someone show up an hour before they let us in the pit in front of me like it's no big deal...were you dropped on your head as a baby?

100% unresponsive to my comment... but, whatever. I'm pretty okay not wallowing in the deep end of this board.
5 people cut in the front of the line during Vampire Weekend, we told security, and while they were talking to those people we started it.
Security came through and kicked them out. Got on the rail in front of Mike D, best show of the week and best of my life, hands down.
Did you get people kicked out for being giant dildos or just for cutting? Because people are going to cut in front of other people at concerts. That's what happens, at concerts. Concerts is pretty much the one place where "line jumping" is socially acceptable. Sure, it's fucking annoying, but... really? .... Really?
I mean, Kicked out for cutting, only? Really?
I'm bracing for the backlash now.
It's not socially acceptable at concerts, either. You seem like the kind of guy who gets punched a lot.

The fact that half of the audience (near ME, at least) showed up simply to spew hatred into his face, at BONNAROO, of all places, was what really set the tone of the show for me. I couldn't be in that crowd. It bummed me out so much that I felt like Bonnaroo had taken a quick dive into something it'd never been before. I'd never seen a group of hateful people at 'Roo like that. Shit killed me. Then I cried during Goodbye Yellow Brick Road because it felt like Bonnaroo's Positivity Radiation was truly over. WWHHHYYYY, HATTTTAAAAZ?

edit: Awww they deleted their post, how cute.
What's up with the attitude? This is what I'm talking about... this radiate positivity stuff is extremely hard to find at Roo anymore.
Yeah, I'm a bad person for getting upset when people cut in front of me after waiting that long and act like it's no big deal that they can just walk up to the front of the line and fuck over the hundreds of people behind them.

Nah, I'm really not the kinda girl that punches my way through a crowd. I like to be able to enjoy my music from the back where I have space to lay out, honestly. I just feel like this happens at every concert, it's going to happen at every concert, and there's really not too much anyone can do about it. I can feel your frustration; There are some shows I'd love to be in the front for, but I am able to enjoy it from the back of the crowd or the front. Not dealing with the people spilling beer and punching me in the back of the head is pretty dope. I just feel like there's some things you can't change about concerts and the crowds - especially depending on what artist is performing. C'mon, though. It's just going to happen.

Or you can do something about it and get them kicked out like I did along with the people who were waiting in line for 10 hours with me.

I know what you mean. I was moving around to get a decent view and got too far back by the people who didn't give a shit. I couldn't take it either so I walked back up to where I started the set by the real fans who were engaged with the show. But that's not to say I didn't see stuff like that in past years. Eminem and Metallica got a lot of hate and heckling from the years that I've gone, with people cracking jokes back in the What stage field because they've got nothing better to do. Personally, if I don't like a headliner then I'm going to get an amazing spot for one of the late night tents and wait it out. But people are weird and like to hate on things....it's annoying. Just know that there were a lot of fans who did enjoy it and I doubt he's the last act that gets a negative reaction from the Bonnaroo audience.
Line crashers literally almost caused people to die on the left side pit, people got trampled and crushed into the barriers.
So seriously, fuck anyone who thinks its okay to rush the pit, is it going to take someone DYING for you people to understand what the consequences of your actions are??
