Man, I'm not trying to tell people the Kanye show was bad. I already said I was happy with his set list and was enjoying the show until the derps around me started chanting dumbass shit. I'm just defending Jack White whose rants I think are being unjustifiably compared to Kanye's.
Because people are unjustifiably portraying Kanye's as negative, and since they're similar in the underlying message to JW's, people feel the need to point that out.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
I was just comparing the two shows. I dint bring in anything from before (for either Kanye or Jack). But it's a bummer that Jack White is apparently such an asshole.

Ultimately, this argument is moot. If Jack did it for you, awesome. I hope he did. If Kanye didn't, so be it. Shitty shows happen for people all the time. Lets move on.
-I thought it was interesting that he had a guy on stage to cover for him when he missed a line & help hit the right notes when he was singing. I don't think this is an oddity for hip-hop, I just noticed it.
How did something this idiotic not get pointed out?
if i didn't go to the show, does that make me a racist? or am i only racist if i went and didnt' like it?
Neither, nor has anyone said anything accusing people of being racist for not liking a Kanye West show.
Thanks for playing, better luck next time.
"When you can tell me why we decided Kanye West is the only brilliant, tortured soul of his generation that we try to beat down constantly and prevent to succeed that isn't racial, I'll believe it's something else."
If this isn't accusing his critics of at least some racism on some level, I am not sure what it is.
I left Jack White due to it being absolutely horrid, but I'm not going to spend my time in the Jack White thread trying to convince people they shouldn't have enjoyed it.
I caught Jack the week before at Gov Ball and skipped out on his Roo set. What was horrid about the show? It's Jack going onstage and shredding his guitar for 90 or so minutes, I'd assume, so what were you expecting?

Sure, take a 500 word post, whittle it down to a single line, remove all other context and then use it to try and undercut my comments. Seems legit.
Except for the part where that was an overall societal comment and not a comment specific to Bonnaroo attendees that didn't like his performance. Those were addressed earlier in the post and since you seemingly can't be trusted to be an adult in this discussion, I'll just pull the quote for you:
If you don't see the difference between "I didn't really like Kanye West's set" and "KANYE WEST THINKS HE'S BIGGER THAN JESUS AND DISNEY AND FUCK YOU ASSHOLE JUST PLAY YOUR GOOD SONGS THAT I'M GOING TO SING ALONG WITH ANYWAY DESPITE BOOING AND MAKING GAY FISH JOKES AND BEING A DUMB SHITSTINKING FUCKBAG! HE HATES HIS FANS! HE HATES BONNAROO! HE HATES WHITE PEOPLE! HE HATES PUPPIES! (paraphrasing)" then you need to just stop making comments on this altogether. Acting like a black man simply disliking Jack White's set is akin to the insane, hypocritical and sometimes racially-charged comments about Kanye West is ridiculous.
I very clearly state that criticism and irrational hate are different. And I also clearly insinuate it's the latter that has the racial element involved.
And, again, I never directed a single race-related quote your way before you jumped all over me about it. Please find a new hobby besides trying to misrepresent my comments to win a discussion you haven't the slightest hope of prevailing in.

And Elton John couldn't hit the high notes like he used to! Did anybody see that Patton Oswalt skit about how heavy people say words that start with a B and they just sound fat. I totally got that experience with Elton John.

This is particularly ignorant because I've been willing to praise plenty of other popular black musicians. We're not making it a race issue, you are. You act like the only possible reason for not liking the guy has to be racism. You couldn't be any more wrong. Come on now, stop with that shit.

No, I fucking haven't. I can't dumb it down anymore for you people, saying "I don't like Kanye" or "I didn't like Kanye's performance" isn't racist. Never claimed it was. Being irrational and hypocritical about your dislike of him while fawning over a white man doing the same sort of things (or worse things in most cases) strikes bystanders as having racial undertones.
In your rush to defend anyone taking the opposite stance I've made you didn't bother reading anything I actually posted. Try doing that, regroup and tell me where I accused you of being racist. Quotes will be required, and please do a better job than the mouth breather from Cleveland.

I didn't twist your words at all. Direct quote. The earlier portion you posted does not clarify the fact that you said that those who "beat him down" (i.e., bitch about his show as I have) clearly have racist motivations.
I have plenty of hobbies. You are just amusing me far too much.

Do you think my defense of Jack White's rant at Bonnaroo vs. my criticism of Kanye's rant at Bonnaroo has racial undertones?
