The only people that would consider themselves fans of Kanye/Radiohead and also admit they have some "terrible" material are fans who don't like it when their favorite artists change sound/direction.
I love Kanye, but I think he has some pretty crappy stuff out there. I wouldn't go so far as to say terrible. You can't expect to like everything though.
Disagree. His guest spots on pop songs can be horrible (that one song with Katy Perry comes to mind) but when it comes time for Ye to do Ye he has never disappointed. Whether it's solo albums, Watch the Throne, or Cruel Summer or anything else.

That is not really the point, the conversation was about people who were universally loved and accepted as musical genius's neither of these artists are, and they are not close to being in the category of a Beatles/Floyd level of admiration.
So....Radiohead isn't as universally loved and praised as the Beatles or Floyd because you personally don't like a few of their albums? I think most of Floyd's catalog f*cking blows, does that mean we can kick them out of the pantheon now?

I'll gladly show myself out if it means I never have to listen to Wish You Were Here again.
No it was what people who are rational like to call sarcasm, I do not really "like" to antagonize you, but it is like the tea partiers who will vote against anything that might benefit Obama you just tend to go full on crazy when I say anything and admittedly I do get a chuckle out of your overreactions. Also I just give my personal opinions on subjects I think you would be hard pressed to find me declaring myself an "authority" on rap, but it is easy to find that I do have opinions.
So lets say this either you stop with your infantile insults and try to have a conversation or just ignore me figuratively or literally, either way I bet it will cause you less angst.
Sarcasm has nothing to do with rationality.
You do like to antagonize me.
I don't go "full on crazy" whenever you post, this is the first time I've responded to you in weeks.
Thank you for admitting you're a troll.
It is very obvious you have opinions, my issue is they are uninformed, divisive and nonsensical.
Ha. "Try to have a conversation." Jess, go f*ck yourself. Literally or figueratively, either way I bet it will be the first time you got laid in ages.
You came into a thread just to cause issues, congrats, you once again succeeded in making yourself the center of attention for all the wrong reasons.

Just would like to remind the both of you, along with everyone else, that the ignore feature still does work.
Read the part that said the songs were great live though.
Well in that case what don't you like about 2012? They played 6 Limbs track and the rest appears to be stuff you really like.
I I guess it was just the energy level, seriously though I consider the 06 show to be one of the best I have ever seen, and walked out last year with a big meh. They did have a lot to live up to after 06 though, I have said in the past that I just should not see them again because after that 06 I will always be disappointed. I think the song choices and where they were had a lot to do with it. Also last year was part of a tour and 2006 was one off and that probably has a lot to do with how the band played as well.

now.msn.com/kanye-west-t-shirt-sells-out-despite-costing-120-dollars Even Kanye's fans have to admit that he is pretty fake, he makes a song called "new slaves" which speaks out against materialism (amongst a number of things, including racism) and then proceeds to make and sell a plain white tee for 120 bucks.
EDIT: not trying to cause a flame war, just trying to make a point.

Unless Kanye West's association with this $120 APC plain white "hip hop" t-shirt is in fact an ironic commentary on the materialistic culture which exists within our society. Rather than invalidating the point made by "New Slaves" (that the predominantly white capitalist driven industry enslaves the lower class by making them think they need certain designer possessions to demonstrate their own self-worth), he's actually validating it by demonstrating that a plain white t-shirt, which would cost $10 for a pack of 4, will be purchased by the masses if branded with the approval of a major fashion house and a massively popular entertainer.
Maybe, maybe not. You might be over thinking this a bit. Kanye wants to make money, so he does this because he knows his fans will buy something if it has his name on it (even if it's insanely overpriced). That's my opinion.

i may not respect his music but dam I gotta respect his ability to make money. How in the he// could anyone ever justify spending 120 dollars on a plain white t shirt, even if it is made wi Egyptian cotton.
I have never heard the song new slaves but this passage seems to point to the hypocrisy.
And this rich ----- racism That's that "Come in, please buy more" What you want, a Bentley? Fur coat? A diamond chain? All you ------ want all the same things"
Why not add a $120 "hip hop T shirt" to the lyrics?
I love how he can argue against an idea to sell a song and perpetuate the same idea to sell shirts.
he is perpetuating the "Come in, please buy more," and "Bentley? Fur coat? A diamond chain?" mentality he calls "rich ----- racism," isn't he, with this T shirt?
and Larry Farnsworth, I should hope a talented creative artist could find better ways to express his ironic impulses than to charge $120 for a plain white t shirt (with his name on it inside the collar), perpetuating a problem he has acknowledged exists.

So because he has some thought provoking lyrics, he needs to buck the system and not make a buck?
I do think it's an interesting juxtaposition, but not exactly the level of hypocrisy you guys are claiming.
