Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Prince probably won't come. Daft probably won't come. Waters probably won't come. Elton is the closest thing we have that's on the same level as Paul. We all know his songs, everybody loves him, and he always does an amazing job. I find him the perfect candidate to rock the What on Friday night next year. Can you imagine 80,000 people singing "Can You Feel The Love Tonight"!?

I saw EJ in Biloxi this year and it was a great time. He radiates positivity and appreciation for the fans and the life they have provided him. I would love to see him headline Bonnaroo.
For those that don't know, keep in mind he can't hit the high notes anymore, and he hasn't for some time. He leaves that up to the crowd or the backup singers. Still he is the man.

That's because he had throat surgery decades ago which made his entire timbre lower.
I would support this fully if I hadn't already seen him a couple of times. I would still definitely go, though.

Don't sleep on this man. He puts on an incredible show. I saw him play with Billy Joel on the Face 2 Face tour. I went to that show an enourmous Billy Joel fan, and left an even bigger Elton John fan. What a talented performer.

Saw him last year and he was still amazing...Funeral For A Friend was beyond cool live and the crowd singing Crocodile Rock (laaaa la la la la la) at Bonnaroo would be incredible!

A yes vote for Elton. I think the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers provide such a galvanizing experience for Bonnaroovians. This year, we had two Hall of Fame headliners, so I think it would be a mistake next year to go without one. If they can't bag U2, then Elton John, please.
"Elton John has announced the release of his new solo album with an intimate black and white trailer clip. The Diving Board – produced by T Bone Burnett – will arrive September 24th, and will be the 66-year-old singer's first solo album since The Captain and the Kid in 2006. "What kind of music do I really want to make? I have to go back to go forward again," John says in the trailer. 'I am on the diving board.'"

this year we had Four
ZZ Top 2004 Paul McCartney 2x 1988, 1999 Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers 2002 David Byrne 2002
every year I have been to roo (04, 09, 13) there are multiple (Current at the time or future) hall of famers.
04 Dylan, the Dead, Patti Smith, David Byrne, Steve winwood, 09 Beastie Boys, Springsteen, Al Green, David Byrne, public enemy, Elvis Costello, booker T,
The multiple hall of farmers are a big part of the reason I love roo so much, so many opportunities to see so many influential bands.

I said it in another thread I think but an Elton John/Billy Joel concert would be so great.
I'd prefer billy Joel over Elton John, but OBVIOUSLY I'd prefer both, haha, that just seems unrealistic for roo, am I wrong? I hope I'm wrong! And "so great" does not even come close to how amazing that show would be!!

I don't think it's likely that they both play a Roo concert some year, but I don't think it's too unrealistic. They've toured together in the past, and I could see a one off thing if they agreed to play.
