Has anyone been banned since Sproat? I think even the guy who went on a racist rant was only suspended.

I'd say threatening fellow board members repeatedly (not a head-of-the-moment thing), intimidating fellow board members, turning fellow board members into internet memes, calling fellow board members directly, having friends call fellow board members directly, invading fellow board members' privacy for personal gain and/or intimidation.
There is such a thing as too tolerant.
Ftr, imarob isn't guilty of any of those and I doubt that horn expected any actual ban/suspension to come out of this thread. I took it as just a thread dedicated to how awful of a board member he is.

The dude that kept using the "N" word, and when I called him on it, had the audacity to tell me he was black and going to report me to the NAACP. I found his FB page and the shithead was whiter than me. So, I banned him. That's one I remember off the top of my head.

You have no idea the amount of grief, and hours of dealing with personal calls/texts/PMs, that came from this ban. Seriously.

In my experience, in general:
-Bullying, whether on-forum or off, or other threatening behavior -Constant stirring up of drama -A habit of OT posting/thread hijacking/etc., to the detriment of the content -Spamming (whether by bot/etc., by frequent personal reference to products, by using affiliate links in one's posts, and so on.) -Pestering the staff -Malicious lying (as distinguished from harmless exaggeration) -Posting porn (it should be noted that posting minor porn is also criminal behavior.) -Racism -Posting the personal/private info of others (phone numbers, email addresses, etc.) -Attempting to hack the board -Abusing the PM system -Quoting PMs in public threads -Anti-community behavior not otherwise specified
You can boil all this down to "Member X is more of a pain in the ass than his contributions are worth." Which is extremely subjective and ought to be left to the judgment of the staff for reasons I've gotten into elsewhere.
Also, I think misusing the board's name when interacting with AC/Superfly/artist management/ etc. ought to be bannable.

I know there are a few who just don't like him for their own reasons. I'm guessing the OP wanted to express that ... again. I don't agree with most of the heat he has gotten, but that changed. For me, when the bannee in question took something that was posted in one thread and posted to a totally unrelated thread to bash someone without writing or tagging the target they earned whatever they are getting. It was solely to pick / start a verbal fight, adding nothing to the board.
Ok, back to waiting for the song title thread to be bumped.

Some of the things he says are awful, but that probably goes for about 75% of us. His are obvioulsy a unique, really annoying kind of awful sometimes, but still.
If he ever goes back to his original av, I want him gone. Otherwise, it's fun to watch him rock the boat a bit. It's the offseason, right?
I wa bored at lunch so read thru a lot of his recent posts. I'm not big on censorship so I had to vote "no". I'm pretty sure he's a different cat than most people on here but hey, just ignore and move on if you don't agree with him. Kinda like I would move from Thurman Murmans to Spicy Pie if some jerkstore was douching up the Roti truck line too long. Roo begs tolerance at times no?
I do like this board so am I allowed to vote "no" if I get called up for the next ban? Just wanted a clarification

Well if you're not big on censorship you'll be discouraged to know that he modified some of the worst things he said without apologizing for, or even acknowledging, how hurtful they had been.
