The Felice Brothers just signed to Dualtone Records (same as Shovels & Rope, The Lumineers, and others) and have a new album coming out this summer. I could see them coming back again. Maybe get a slot on the main stage?
We are happy to announce that Houndmouth will be joining us again at the Fort this summer! Thanks to fan Kyle Schaffer for writing the introduction, and for sharing this sentiment: "The true sign of a great album? I bet your favorite song will change at least three times between now and July." So dig into the Houndmouth repertoire, and catch them at our Newport Folk Presents show at Columbus Theatre on March 13th!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Quack Club 4.... whatever flavor it may be, plain vanilla or coconut caramel chocolate almond swirl- Facebook group or new thread.. what says ya'll ?
I've only had access to my phone the last few days, so I've been reading but never logged in. This post was login-worthy though! Yay QC!!! Can it be July yet?
Neutral Milk Hotel will be noodling around the east coast leading up to NFF (scheduled for a show July 25 at Merriweather in Columbia, MD; they could easily be in Newport on the 26 or 27). I'm starting to get excited that we may see them as well!
I would be one happy camper if I was able to see NMH and Nickel Creek at the same festival. I think I'm hoping for too much though!

Last time I saw Jenny Lewis was when she came out during Elvis Costello's 2009 Bonnaroo set. I'm hoping we get Elvis at the fort this year too. Taking it as a sign.

Very nice!
I'm sure the "Very Nice" was for the band, not the write-up - but that was my first (and probably last) attempt at music writing. I'm glad the NFF people used it.

I was at her show that year, where he came out and joined her
You guys just reminded me how much I liked Jenny Lewis with the Watson Twins and how I was kind of disappointed with Acid Tongue because it was a slight departure from her sound with the Watson Twins. I'm very glad to hear she'll be touring with them again; I hope the new album channels Rabbit Fur Coat.
I'm giving Rabbit Fur Coat another listen right now and I'll have to decide whether or not I like it more than Rilo Kiley. But Rilo Kiley has withstood the test of time a little bit more for me as I still find myself listening to them. If you find the Fuse broadcast of Rilo Kiley's Bonnaroo performance, you will see me singing along front and center.
Who just got permission to book a flight up to CT in July? This lady. Who was surprised with a ticket to NFF? This lady.
After an extremely shitty week, knowing that I will finally be a member of Quack Club 2014 has lifted my spirits more than just about anything else could. Words cannot express the feelings I've been feeling for the past 18 hours or so. Levon & Garth, make room on the couch for me!!
