Did you guys hear about the 600 lb disco ball crashing into the stage at the Avett show between sets? It was freaking insane. It was about 2 min after Shovels & Ropes left the stage. It sounded like a crazy loud gunshot. At first I thought it went into the crowd because I was straight back from the stage and from my angle it looked like the ball was over the crowd, not the stage. The show was delayed a few minutes but they just played around it. It could have been really bad.
Aside for like 3-4 songs, I don't like the Avetts. And walked out on their sets at Newport and Freefest last year.
But just cause it's not my type of thing, don't mean one them should get crushed by a giant disco ball. You make it sound like it's the douchebag from Creed.
