You need a hug, buddy?
nope, I am headed for Mansfield/Saratoga. see you guys in 2015.
Damn straight he needs a hug. First his cat sh!ts everywhere, now no Journey. I'm not sure this day could get any worse, unless Mrs. Sang serves waffles for dinner.

I will be taking 2014 off from Soundgarden touring due to prior commitments promoting "Lightning Bolt" with my brothers in Pearl Jam and the desire to have more time at home with my family. I am trying to balance the many twists and turns of my awesome music career. This is temporary. I am still an active member of Soundgarden. Chris, Ben, Kim and I are in the process of finding the perfect substitute for the upcoming Soundgarden dates in 2014.
Thank you all for listening and the Years of Support!
Loudest of Love. Matt Cameron
Pearl Jam is still planning a June European tour though...
The "desire to have more time at home with my family" part gives me hope...

Those are two of my favorite large venues up this way. We can follow them on tour together!
Really? Now don't get me wrong here, I'm happy for you - but to each his own, I suppose. I detest Mansfield with a passion. Unless you're paying top dollar for seats, your view is most likely obscured by those stupid giant pillars and the low-hanging roof. I last went there a year and a half ago, and my view of the band was mostly blocked by... screens showing me the band. I did not appreciate the irony.
Plus traffic gets so damn clusterquacktacular - the small town infrastructure just isn't built to handle a 20,000-seat arena, and everyone drives since it's nowhere near public transport. I saw Radiohead there in 2008; it was a 45-minute drive from where I used to live, so I left 90 minutes before just to be safe. Took me 2.5 hours from my house to the venue. I missed Grizzly Bear entirely and the first few Radiohead songs. Still getting over that one.
And Bzzzz, I just spent a solid 5 minutes cracking up at that gif. Pure genius.
Arcade Fire is the only band on this list that makes me unhappy that they won't be at Roo. But I knew there was no chance anyway. And the door is still open for Prince!

Great Woods has gotten progressively worse ever since they took out the front part of the lawn and put all of those extra seats in. The parking sucks. They don't even open up that small VIP parking lot right by the entrance anymore. The cops are crazy too.
Meadows, SPAC & Bethel are all much better places to catch a show IMO.

I still like Great Woods/Comcast Center as a venue, I just wish I had more reasons to go there. The sound is always great. AF next year is gonna be a blast.
Very pleased to announce two festivals next year! Blåfrostfestivalen in Norway www.blaafrost.no/ and Northside festival in Denmark! www.northside.dk/ Jun. 13-15
Saw Moon Taxi tonight. Asked one of the guys if they would return to Bonnaroo. He replied with "not next year". Take it for what it's worth but I think we can safely rule them out for a return.
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
I keep waiting to "get" Moon Taxi, because they get so much praise. I've seen them live a couple times and it just strikes me as banal lead guitar driven jamband fare.
Yeah, I thought 2014 would finally be Queens year.
Josh does love Europe tho, especially non-English Europe. And they appear to love him back. Bonnaroo needs to move to the last week of May or first week of June. Not that it would teally make any real difference, but I just want the world to burn right now and don't care about what's real and logical!
