I don't know about a 1/10, but it certainly seems well below the average for them.
The only acts I'm really jealous over are Interpol, Flume, Jagwar Ma, and Run the Jewels. Out of 100+, that's pretty bad imo. Most of the lineup is indie bands with a lot of mainstream appeal, and a lot of the good acts book are at every other festival this summer, I think it's pretty awful
Edit: Blood Orange too

That is what stood out to me. It felt, upon first look, that there was less stuff there that stood out as unique or at least rare on the festival circuit this year.

Only people I really want to see that I'm not seeing elsewhere are Flume, Lorde, the 1975, Gesaffelstein, Duke Dumont, Jagwar Ma, Spoon, Gramatik, London Grammar, and RAC. All course all those are spread out over the weekend but Sunday seems to have the most people but my least favorite headliner pair, ain't that a bitch.
Hope the after shows help. A Flume+Duke Dumont aftershow would be freaking awesome.

Also, five of the top twelve are just terrible EDM acts. I can't seem to find any redeeming qualities to this.
It's seriously 2011 all over again. Eminem, Arctics, Skrillex, Nas, Grouplove, Young the Giant, Manchester Orchestra, Portugal. the Man, Cage the Elephant, Fitz and the Tantrums, Foster the People, Lykke Li etc. Even though I really like a lot of those groups, it's just really uninspired booking for a major festival. There are some wins on there for me, I'll be seeing Interpol for the first time, excited about Royal Blood as well, and I'm happy to see a local band like Gemini Club make the Lolla lineup. If Eminem is indeed Sunday, I will go Friday and Saturday and then sell my wristband.

Sunday's headliners are awful but I'd love to see Flume, Gesaffelstein, the 1975, Chance the Rapper, Chromeo, DARKSIDE, London Grammar, Run the Jewels, RAC, and Trombone Shorty and GTA
Watch Pearl Jam actually be on this fucking lineup, and I will be so pissed at myself for letting go of those tickets. Hopefully the 10 club would have some for us if they are at Lolla. At this point, I am hoping all the leaks are all there is.
I haven't cancelled my hotel reservations yet just because....but I am expecting to as soon as I wake up tomorrow.
Looks like I can cancel my reservations. Atrocious lineup.
Someone pinch me or something. Flat out embarrassed for this fest. I don't usually side with the tastes and consensus of this board in terms of what's good and what's bad but this isn't really debatable. When Lollapalooza has more rap and EDM than rock, we're in trouble. It's in my backyard so I'm gonna go still and I'm sure I'll have fun but if I didn't get a ticket yesterday I wouldn't be stressing at all.
I imagine this will really raise the bar in terms of worst Lolla crowds of all time. The silver lining will be that most of these EDM kids and bros will have never heard of/not care for most the the acts I'm looking to see, which should allow me to enjoy my experience a little more...hopefully.
Question, Glen Hansard is on the lineup in the email lolla sent but not on the website, anybody else notice? Anybody that has seen a Ed Ved solo show will appreciate him.
