I told him I gave this lineup a zero. He responded "Zedd. Calvin Harris, Eminem (pray to god Dre shows up) Krewella, Martin Garriz, Skrillex, Ingrosso and I guess Lorde would be cool."
I told him I wanted to see Outkast and I have to go for that day. He responded "Outkast...ugh. it's not 2005 anymore"
He has four 3 day passes. These "people" will be everywhere. I'm on full tilt.
This makes me so happy I did not buy passes yesterday. Sure, I probably would have sold them off after seeing the lineup, but I don't think I could make it a weekend without going into at least one murderous rampage with the crowd that is going to be there.

Really considering a Saturday ticket just to see Outkast but I probably have to decide within the next few minutes. Damn.
Summerfest.
I hate the Marcus because you have to buy an individual seat (or be on the lawn way in the back). If I'm gonna see them it's gotta be GA. Plus this is on a Saturday so I wouldn't have to take any time off work...
Friday and Saturday sold out in less than an hr and I haven't even caught a glimpse of the ticket page. Just trying to get a Sunday for my bro who wants to see Cage, Young the G, Avetts, and Kings. Unreal.
damn, Friday and Saturday already sold out and all I saw was the standby page. I never even had a chance. And I was on the page at 9:59! Oh well... plenty of time to buy that shiz secondhand. I gotta see Outkast this summer.

No desire to go to lolla this year but Id love to see the avett bros (ignore the fact I'm already seeing them for sure twice this summer) so here's to hoping they play an after show. Although I feel like that's unlikely. Or better yet, announce a Milwaukee or Madison show at a better venue since they're skipping out on summerfest in June too.

There are definitely some bright spots each day, but dear God Sunday is horrendous. The highest billed act I want to see is Darkside (would be Chance, but my gf can't stand his voice, so I have to see him at Roo). No bueno.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
Yeah now that I got the tickets I needed and can stop stressing I'm jus gonna take the lineup for what it is. No way I'd travel to see this sh*t but the fact that I live in Chicago, it'd be stupid not to enjoy myself for these 3 days. There's enough undercard stuff that I really like and can't see at Hangout this year.
I imagine this will really raise the bar in terms of worst Lolla crowds of all time. The silver lining will be that most of these EDM kids and bros will have never heard of/not care for most the the acts I'm looking to see, which should allow me to enjoy my experience a little more...hopefully.
The crowd will be worse than prior years. There are literally a half dozen people going in my office that I would never expect to attend a music fest. These people are all "nice" people but not the the prototypical festival attendee. It will be a strange vibe for sure.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts

What really kills me about this shitheap of a lineup is that good acts were out there. I'm kinda willing to excuse a lousy top-10. Booking the big acts is tough and it involves lots of factors completely outside of a promoters control. But when you look at the Osheaga and Sasquatch to lineups, there were a lot of decent acts around in July in August they could have gotten. Hell, Nick Cave played the original Lolla and didn't hit Chicago on his current tour. They just actively decided to book garbage.
