5 out of the last 6 summers Bonnaroo and Lolla has shared a top 3 act. 2013/Mumford and Sons, 2012/RHCP, 2011/Eminem, 2009/Beastite Boys, 2008/Kayne West. Now two of those years it didn't happen due to a band member dealing with a health issue, but it was the plan. With Bonnaroo top 3 being Elton John/Kayne/Jack White it makes you wonder. Elton John is highly unlikely and so is Jack White since he played Lolla pretty recently.
Wouldn't be surprised with: Pearl Jam - Kayne West - Kings of Leon - Outkast
How confident are you guys that Pearl Jam will be there? I need to break my PJ virginity soon.
90%. Lolla darlings, haven't played since 08, Eddie loves Chicago, and they were at all SA Lollas. Pearl Jam and Outkast are the two headliners I'm most confident about.
I just feel like it makes no sense for them not to play festivals after just releasing Lightning Bolt. They haven't been announced for any to this point, and after the Wrigley delay fiasco that had thousands of people only seeig half a show, it feels like perfect timing. I feel like they'd be a lock. Honestly, I would take Metallica over them though. Lately they've been way harder to see live.

Agreed pearl jam and outkast appear to be locks. Kings of leon seem very suspicious, very probable at this point. That is 1(PJ), 2( outkast), 3 or 4(kings of leon).
I still like tool with new material, and arctic monkeys are due for an American headlining spot with some single success. But I could see AM as the big sub on Sunday on the north side ala Florence and VW. There will be a surprise and it won't be Kanye- outkast is a lock. Not having two hippity hop headliners.
May Tycho May Phoenix June Rooo July MMJ and Margo Price August Queen with Adam Lambert August Roger Waters (Bucket list #1) August Spoon and Portugal the man Sept Depeche Mode Sept Pilgrimage Fest

KoL is in Chicago next month. We dont think that rules them out to come again?

Def not. In 2012 The Black Keys played the UC in March and RHCP played Rosemont in May and both headlined. I think the radius clause is dead.

I think there will be at least one big surprise on the lineup. I can't see a combination where we get 3 out of these 4: Pearl Jam, JT, Kayne, Metallic. If they did I think it would be the biggest top 3 in recent memory. I don't think Foster the People or Arctic Monkeys will be 5 or 6 on the lineup. The Arctic Monkeys was only 9 on the Roo lineup, Foster the People was only 8 on Governors Ball. Skrillex seems likely to be the biggest EDM act, but I don't think they will be higher than 6.
I still think a top 4 of Pearl Jam - Kayne - Outkast - Kings of Leon is likely. At this point I will be pretty disappointed if Pearl Jam is not #1 on the lineup.

Kanye and outkast together has a 1% chance of happening. This is rawkapalooza. Tool fits much better IMO. And yes if pearl jam isn't one, not sure who would be.
PJ- Outkast- Tool- Kings of Leon IMO the best top four among the big three.
I think you guys are right on AM. Sunday subheadliner on bud light stage ala Florence and VW.
Question- who are the other three headliners? PJ, Outkast, and KoL seem like locks. Btw- the radius clause thing is bogus with Lolla- RHCP, The Keys, Phoenix after Lolla last year.

There is just such a strong trend with Bonnaroo and Lolla sharing a headliner, I personally could careless about seeing Kayne (and Tool for that matter.)
So tempering expectations I'm leaning towards this...
Pearl Jam * Justin Timberlake * Muse Outkast * Kings Of Leon * Skrillex Arctic Monkeys * Frank Ocean * Calvin Harris * Foster The People
Muse is a shot in the dark. I feel like we're looking at either JT or Kanye in that pop spot in the top 3, but there's something we're missing. I feel like getting JT frees up Outkast from the hip-hop side. Muse doesn't have anything planned to this point so I guess it's possible. Probably not likely but I'm just trying to tame my thoughts on possibly getting Metallica or Tool cus I'd lose it.

Jesus. Outkast is a lock. Outkast + Kanye is a greater than 1% possibility.

All this Pearl Jam talk about Lolla is going to get my hopes up WAY too high if they aren't there. I live in the Chicago burbs and for some reason have never gone to Lolla (despite going to Bonnaroo 3 times already, and Voodoo Fest this last year). Despite that I have already predetermined that I have to go this year, for no other reason than it is time to go.
How confident are you guys that Pearl Jam will be there? I need to break my PJ virginity soon.
Even if you do break your PJ virginity soon, make sure you catch one of their regular shows as well. Lolla there will be a strict 11:00 curfew, leaving them only 2 hours to play.
You catch them playing stadiums...they will play 36 songs and 3 1/2 hours. And no set is ever the same.
Yeah the more I look at my Muse prediction, I'm prob way off. If they had Muse and Outkast they'd share 'em both with Coachella. Just doesn't seem likely. We're missing someone though. Basically I think it's Pearl Jam, JT or Kanye (one or the other), *insert 3rd HLer here*, then like Kings or Outkast, etc. Idk who that 3rd "rockier" act would be. Could be Foo I guess, never really thought of them.

I know Lolla hasn't shared hip hop headliners before, but it would make a lot sense. Outkast is all but a lock, and Kayne would add up. He is from Chicago, hasn't played Lolla in awhile, he is playing Bonnaroo. I personally don't care if he does, but I wouldn't be surprise. I'm holding out hope for the Foo Fighters.
As long as Pearl Jam and Outkast is in there, I am perfectly fine with the headliners.

Completely agree. Give me those two and I am fine with whomever is #3.
I'm hopin for Kanye over Outkast because I find it hard to believe they'd have both. I'm gonna be seeing Outkast on the beach at Hangout so Lolla's not gonna be able to top that. Hopefully an opposing headliner is worth seeing. Just some personal selfishness though. Outkast would be awesome for those who can't see them any other time this year.

There just isn't precedence for two hip hop headliners. Would it work? Yep. Would it be popular? Yep. I just doubt Lolla, which cut its teeth on rock and roll, would ever do two hip hop headliners. I want to be wrong, cause I will c both outkast and Kanye.
Coldplay popped up at sxsw/iTunes fest in March. They could be 2,3. But I find them unlikely, but possible. New album in May I believe.

What about the year they had Avicii and Justice?

Now you're making good sense, although I feel like it be a really big pull for Lolla at this point.
