This is what is going around on the Lolla board as a prediction, what would your guys schedule be if this was it? Bolded mine.
Friday South: Danny Brown (Little Dragon) Frank Ocean (Cut Copy) Kanye West North: Cake (Andrew Bird) The Flaming Lips (DJ) Kings of Leon Grove: Ty Segall, Okkervil River, Darkside Perry's: Duck Sauce, Flosstradamus, Kaskade
Sunday South: Fitz & the Tantrums (St. Vincent) Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds (Broken Bells) Pearl Jam North: Janelle Monae (Chromeo) Foster the People (DJ) wompwomp Grove: Frank Turner, A$AP Ferg, James Blake Perry's: Martin Garrix, Zedd, Empire of the Sun
For Friday, that's assuming that The Flaming Lips play Sunday night at Bunbury and I get a day pass. If that falls through then I would choose the Flaming Lips over Frank. For Friday night I would go see about an half hour of both Kayne and Kings of Leon, and get to an aftershow.
This schedule does not have Robyn and Royksopp on it so is therefore wildly inaccurate.

Just booked my hotel (even though I live a train ride away...who wants to go home every night??). Pearl Jam (them alone and I am in), Outkast, and whoever else. Sold. Done deal!

I was guessing based on snapchat that you live awfully close. And I would hate to have to leave Chicago everyday for Lolla. So much better to stay.
E: I guess I could have looked at your posts where it says where you live.

LOL. That is why I edited it to say about me living close to the city. Once I posted I realized it said Location: Aurora, IL. Being OCD like I am, I had to clarify.

I live in Plainfield/Joliet, and we did the same thing last year. So awesome to be a 10 minute walk from Grant Park, and it makes hitting the aftershows a lot more feasible.
Where are you staying? I booked the Hampton Inn Majestic. They have a deal through Lolla, $205/night, 8 minute walk to North Entrance, half a block from Red and Blue Lines. Perfect blend of price, location, and good reviews. Oh, and the money isn't due until mid-July. Pretty excited.
If Metallica is at Lolla I will lose my damn mind. Done deal. Idc who else they get. It's also why I'm not expecting that at all.
Not to get your hopes up, but Metallica makes a lot of sense. They haven't played Chicago in years, and they are one of the last bands who headlined Lolla as a traveling festival who haven't headlined in its current format. I don't necessarily expect them, but I also wouldn't be surprised one bit.

These facts are exactly why I'm trying to not get my hopes up. It makes a ton of sense. Not to mention the Orion cancellation too. It's seriously a perfect fit. Like I said, I'll be cool with PJ, Kanye/Outkast, and another solid 3rd HLer. Kings will prob be there too but I'd like them to not be the 3rd band. Hoping for someone a little bigger. I like them but I'm seeing them at the UC in a couple weeks so I'd rather not see the same show twice.

By this logic, Orbital and the Prodigy are confirmed. I'm officially excited.

Really hoping Lolla gets some of my "must-sees" that Bonnaroo and Central Florida missed out on, notably Royksopp, Bonobo, Flume, Duke Dumont, Lorde, Chic with Nile Rodgers, Jagwar Ma, the 1975 (who seem to be confirmed), and Shlohmo.

Not the same. For whatever reason the Prodigy have decided they don't want to travel across the Atlantic anymore, and Orbital is also rarish in the US. Metallica still regularly plays shows stateside, they just haven't hit Chicago in a number of years for some reason. Also, Orbital never headlined Lolla when it was a touring festival.

Metallica plays the US regularly? I thought the vast majority of their shows are overseas now. Not trying to bust your chops on this, but I think the "Metallica is likely" stuff is overrated.

The 1975 are playing FL in May. One of my few wants the Roo didn't get, that might get me up to Orlando.

I booked the Hyatt Magnificent Mile. Only $199 a night, and money is due at the time of stay. Looked into the Hampton but it was already booked up. Price was too good to pass up.

I'm booked at HI-Chicago. Good way to save money, and I'm a college kid...so are the people I am traveling with ,so the quality is not an issue. Less than 10 minutes away from Grant Park, pretty close to the train station as well.

At least relative to the other two you mentioned, yes. I also didn't say that they were likely, just that they would make sense. Let's say I'm cautiously optimistic.

But, The Prodigy dude. Doesn't that sound way better than some Metallica/KOL/Arctic Monkeys butt-rock fest?

Yes, they are at the top of my wishlist right now. But it's been so long that I've almost given up hope that they will ever come back stateside.

That's right, but if they'll be at Lolla I'll just see them there. Saves me gas and the ticket price.
This thread is like the Hangout thread, only the outrageous, baseless speculation is actually really really boring.
Stop, everyone! Don't throw out names! This guy is the speculation police! So who do you think? Throw your speculation out there. If not, don't judge everyone else.

Metallica (3 sets), Pearl Jam (2 sets), Outkast.
For whatever reason you really are going to great lengths to dump on this thread. I know you know what type of headliners are usually booked for Lolla, there really hasn't been anything posted in here that is that far fetched. Someone other than Pearl Jam and Outkast need to headline this thing.
