Neither are locks. Allmans seem likely due to Warren and Derek leaving the band after this year; and they're a logical fit. MMJ is more wishful thinking, as I haven't heard anything regarding their summer plans (unless there is info out there?)
Nope. Someone else was told Allman's wouldn't be playing (but that could always change/be wrong) and MMJ is just wishful thinking based on them having an upcoming album.
I meant to post about the stages a month or two ago. It was mentioned in an email update or FB post or something. It's a different set up this year which is SUPER sad.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Looks like some names leaked.. Honestly I'm hoping for another really strong headliner to go alongside Rat Dog and Mule
wblm.com/mountain-jam-2014-lineup/
"The 10th annual Mountain Jam Festival will take place at the Hunter Mountain ski resort in Hunter, N.Y., from June 5-8. The initial lineup for the fest has just been revealed. Although the dates and times have not yet been announced, top acts include Bob Weir & RatDog and Gov’t Mule, whose frontman, Warren Haynes, is one of the founders of the festival. Tedeschi Trucks Band, the Chris Robinson Brotherhood and Dark Star Orchestra will also perform. Popular indie-folk bands Blitzen Trapper and the Avett Brothers will also be on hand, and Jeff Tweedy of Wilco will deliver a solo set. Entering its 10th year, Mountain Jam has made a few changes to make the event more enjoyable for all. There are new options for RVs and car camping, an improved VIP package called “Jammer” and onsite parking for campers. Tickets for Mountain Jam 2014 will go on sale Thursday at 10AM ET. Visit their website for more information, and to download their app for iPhone and Android"
Should we assume two more headliners like last year? Or are Tedeschi Trucks and the Avett Brothers big enough to headline?
I think they will have 2 more headliners, but I wouldn't be shocked if Avetts were given the Thursday HL. I really hope that isn't the case though, considering it's the 10th anniversary and they were there last year.
I like Avetts but I'm so tired of seeing them. My GF loves them so I've seen them at least 5 times and I'm just ready for something new... maybe that 2nd stage will come in handy this year

Avett Brothers and Tweedy solo are pretty cool. If the top two are Mule and Ratdog you gotta kind of feel like that's a let down after recent years. I think both acts are solid and I am a huge Dead fan but after some of their other headliners (MMJ, Levon Helm birthday Jam, etc.) it's like a step back. Maybe Allman's or someone else will be one the full lineup.
Like last year, I'm basically looking at Saturday day pass. Hope Mule is headlining that day instead of the Avetts or some really hetty shit like Ratdog (or WSP/Lesh from last year), and have a stacked undercard that day to justify the trip.

Gov't Mule, RatDog, Avett Brothers, Umphrey's McGee, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Pretty Lights, Damian Marley, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Jackie Greene, Dark Star Orchestra, Jeff Tweedy, Anders Osborne, Blitzen Trapper, Beats Antique, Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds, Trampled By Turtles, Moon Taxi, Paul Green Rock Academy, Valerie Jones, Antibalas, The Ghost of a SaberTooth Tiger, Connor Kennedy, The Weeks, Citizen Band Radio, Jonathan Wilson, Reignwolf, Lucius, Treetop Flyers, Sean Rowe, The DOugh Rollers
Honestly, I was expecting more for the 10th anniversary

I really like this line up. It might not have the top headliners you expected, but this is a deep lineup of talented musicians. Two thumbs up from this guy!

I think I feel a little let down because I was banking on String Cheese being there (my own fault for setting expectations). I've also seen Pretty Lights more than enough and was hoping to take a break from him. But you guys are correct in that it is a deep lineup. I know I'll have a great time regardless!
Yea, that's the one thing I'm upset about missing. I've seen Avetts so I can pass on them. Plus GOvernor's Ball killed it so I'm probably going to try all 3 days of that.
This is the most exciting element for me. I'm not even a crazy Wilco fan like a lot of people on this board, but I'd love to see him solo. A lot of solid, but not surprising acts. I'm always down for Avetts, UM, TbT. Sister Sparrow was one of my favorite MJ sets of '12. PL surprised me. I'm also kind of sick of him, but his full band tour this past year was actually really good. Anyone know if he's going to have the band with him this summer?
Overall, nothing crazy, but it's pretty solid. I am glad that I have my ticket already!

They've also announced that there is another headliner TBA.. It's gotta be Allman or Cheese
Is there a possibility that Allman be the last? I thought I heard somewhere that Wanee and Peach (and the NY run) is all they are doing this year? Don't remember if I read that somewhere or it was word of mouth.

His solo shows are my favorite shows. One of the funniest dudes to ever pick up a guitar.
ABB were also already announced for Lockin' (or whatever) so I don't see any reason why they wouldn't be on the initial lineup poster. My guess is MMJ for the last headliner and will be announced after OBH along with other festival dates. Might just be wishful thinking
