Pretty solid schedule, but there is never much of a scheduling issue here. Late night will be the only hard decisions. And I still wish the didn't change the stages
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Oh wait....is the "west" and "east" stage not the side by side? Is one of them the one over that little hill on the other side where they had smaller sets? That'd be lame. I thought by them doing "West" and "East" That meant they still had the side by side thing. Boooo.

They announced that they moved one- towards VIP, I think, but the map doesn't show that.. hmm..

So I asked about the stages on a GroupMe and someone said that they think there was enough complaints from pissed off attendees that they switched it back! Literally happy dancing in my seat right now.

Strange...then that means they may not be doing the wellness stage? Since the schedule seems to only have 3 stages (as opposed to 4 that I was used to). Oh well....I'm not going this year anyway.
I can't imagine why they would of changed the stage setup. It was absolutely perfect in 2010-2011. I'm guessing from the shorter time slots they just tried to fit more bands on the lineup and that was their way of doing it.

What I heard was there was a country music fest the week or so before and they needed a big stage and it just made sense to keep it up with instead of swap it for two stages in a week. Not sure how true that rumor is s tho

Don't miss Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds on Saturday 1:45 pm on West Stage. I will not be there as they didn't reply to me, much less approve me for credentials.

For anyone who is heading up now, be careful, I've been told police are stopping and searching cars on route.
A couple years ago they had a police checkpoint on this tiny road. Like....totally unavoidable (at least the way I was heading in). They know the deal.
I had SUCH an amazing time. Weather was gorgeous with just a light sprinkling rain while driving up (and it stopped before I arrived) and then the rest of the weekend was dry!
VIP is still totally the way to go. From the real bathrooms to the calamari and shrimp salads to the VIP pit that's never full... amazing. However, they did switch up the stages/pit a little. It only exists for the big stage, but it's very easy to get in and out (before you had to push through the crowd to get there).
Avetts was a magical show for me. Second row near center, appearance by Bobby... Sigh. I caught Joe's set list, too! It was the best Mule set that I've ever seen! I'm usually not a huge fan, but it really was on a whole different level. Anders Osborne totally rocked my socks as well. I especially fell in love with his bassist and Marco Benevento performed with them as well. Jeff Tweedy was hit and miss. A few songs I thought were pretty great and other songs made me think, "what am I listening to?!?!?!" You need to keep in mind that I am not a huge Wilco fan, either. Franti was an average show- but he still made me cry. Twice. Ok, not twice. THREE times (I also cried at Avetts). ABB.. ehh I admit. Third time this year seeing them and third time being kinda bored. Especially after that Mule set the night before.
I also was asleep before 1:00 every night (oopppsss) and didn't see ANY late night but I heard Jackie Greene as fantaaaabulous and both Antibalas and Beats Antique got rave reviews from my friends.
Mountain Jam featured us on their FB the first day (random pic taken by a photographer right after setting up Thursday morning- we didn't even realize he was a MJ guy)
