My vote of Outkast was made because I am seeing Kanye in a month and Ive seen him twice before. If Outkast was to return to a full time group with regular touring I would choose Ye
I have been waiting to see outkast for years, without then I probably would have never gotten into hiphop/rap, but honestly since it looks like they will be doing a full tour and after seeing kanye for my second time this week, I vote kanye. the show he puts on is a fucking spectacle and I don't think outkast could top it. I'm sure their performance would be insane but what kanye is doing right now is some next level shit.
I voted Outkast. I saw Kanye at Roo in 2008 and I do not want that disaster anywhere near Roo again. Besides, I love Outkast and I think they would put on an amazing show.

Am I really the only one on a Bonnaroo-inspired board to say "Quack Kanye!?!?" Seriously, Quack Kanye. I'm okay with Outkast, though I will be disappointed if they are a major headliner. Haven't seen 'em, don't care to, saw Bog Boi doing Outkast songs (and pretending like HE was Outkast), and was not impressed, to put it nicely. If they are a headliner I'll probably watch them for the hell of it, but any conflict will favor any other act.
Slightly off-topic: For a second tier rap act, I would not be surprised at all to see Schoolboy Q as a sub-headliner. I love his first two albums, he has a new one coming out soon that is sure to be big, and I know he will be touring like crazy next year.
Farther off-topic: Same story for The Black Keys? I still love them as my Akron homeboys, and they're due for an album before Roo, even though they will probably be able to headline their own tour and have gone majorly mainstream over the last couple years (which I can't hold against them).
Irrelevant: Crap, it's December and I'm talking about Roo. It's official, I'm obsessed.

Black keys are still somewhat fresh as they played in 2011, but they are one of those bands... Personally, a Black Keys set on What does not excite me. And that's about all they will play now. It's too bad. I would like to see them again, but would be a little let down if they were on the top of the bill.
F**K Kanye was was the only thing on people lips in 2008 after his schedule changing, roo bashing poor excuse for a performance...people where chanting it for the entire next day!. F*** Kanye was written and spray painted everywhere...and still is as of last year 2013. That so called performer will never step foot on the farm again! Check this article out:
Kanye West Disappoints @ Bonnaroo 2008
Just reposting this snippet from the Bonnaroo post…
After Chromeo ended at 3 AM we headed to the main stage to catch the end (or what we thought was the end) of the Kanye show. We discovered that Kanye had not even taken the stage yet. He was supposed to come on at 2:15 AM. We walked over to the main stage and hung out for a while. A long, long while.
Hours passed while people booed and threw stuff on stage. Kanye waited until EVERY OTHER ARTIST at Bonnaroo was finished playing before he started. He wasn’t even scheduled to play on the main stage. He wasn’t even a headlliner. He somehow got Phil Lesh & Friends “moved” off the main stage and took their spot and THEN he made everyone wait. Instead of the 2:15 AM scheduled time he did not start playing until 4:40 AM. Supposedly the lawn was PACKED at 2:15 AM when he was supposed to start, but by 4:40 AM over half the people were gone.
You could see it in his eyes on the jumbotrons. The people standing still, the people walking away, and the people booing definitely affected his performance. Overall the show was mediocre — borderline shitty. People were leaving the entire time and it was the emptiest I saw the main stage the whole weekend. He used his Glow In The Dark Tour Blow In The Dark Tour set, but half of the performance happened when the sun was already up so the lights and the production lost its WOW factor. He was the only person on stage the entire time. No guest appearances, just a really, really tardy Kanye.
Being the huge fan of hip hop that I am I was probably looking forward to the Kanye West show more than any other performance of the entire weekend. It was a huge, huge letdown. During the entire show, he did not address the crowd once. He did all his talking with the “computer” named Jane. After his last song, he put the mic on the ground and walked off the stage. No hello, no goodbye, no encore, no nothing. Definitely the most disappointing show at Bonnaroo 2008. He made tens of thousands of people wait so he could have all the attention. I’m pretty sure he didn’t get what he wanted. I think Kanye’s ego is going to be his downfall.
Rolling Stone did a short article on the show so if you don’t believe me, read it.
Here are some performances. The only one I really enjoyed was Good Life which was performed well after the sun came up.
