I'd love to see these guys again. They were great at Hangout a few years ago, easily the best show of the weekend. They would be a big step up over previous old white guy rock bands, their live show is surprisingly engrossing.
I've never been a huge Foo fan. I've enjoyed most of their singles over the years, and certainly enjoy them more than Nirvana, but just never really got into them. That said I've also heard from friends that their shows are fantastic. So I would welcome them on The Farm.
Yes yes yes yes all I want is for Foo Fighters to finally be at Bonnaroo. I would be so incredibly happy. They would be so perfect and play for 3ish hours as always. You'll all be hooked, I swear. I've seen them a bunch of times and they still impress/amaze/fascinate me every single time.
While I loved being at this show, I'd like my most recent FF memory to be without a drunk guy passing out on top of me
It's been that long since I've seen them. Ugh. I waited 20 hours over night for that show haha. Worth it. NY&CH changed my life.
It was almost too bad that this year couldn't ever live up to that show. Everyone seemed to mail it in this year. FF into NY&CH (who played way over their "scheduled" set time) was incredible.

I wouldn't even classify myself as a Foo fan but I've always admired them for being recognized as a killer live band. Thankfully, I got to see them in Central Park last year after The Black Keys and before Neil + The Horse and they were incredible.
But wait, there's more! The Mowgli's just announced that they will be at Firefly with OutKast, The Lumineers aaand Foo Fighters! So maybe, just maybe, we'll see them at 'Roo as well.

Foos generally kick off their album promotion with festivals, followed by arena tours, then finish at festivals. They put on the best live show I have ever seen. Straight-forward rock n' roll at its best.

If they're between albums, the setlist varies. They'll still play 4-5 from wasting light, a few new ones, then some classics. If you're lucky, an obscure 'Wattershed' or 'Enough Space'.
Now IF they show up do we think they'll be playing songs from Wasting Light plus some greatest hits or what?
In regards to the new album there is no release date. Dave told MTV, "If I give you a release date, I'll actually have to make that deadline".
It'll be greatest hits with Wasting Light live staples integrated. Most likely Arlandria, White Limo, Walk, These Days or something. When it comes to new material the answer is simple: If the new stuff is out we'll get it, if it's not out we won't. We could get lucky and hear a deep cut, but that's just going to be random depending on what Dave is feeling.

Eh, not really how it works. By June, they could have a new single on the air, even though the album doesn't come out for another 1-2 months. So they would definitely play something new, if the circumstances were right-like having a new record drop shortly. They did it for a few songs from 1x1 at Coachella, or 'But Honestly' in 2007. Nothing is written in stone.
