As I said already, I'd prefer a funky/disco type superjam. But the more realistic direction is the bluesy/rock//soul superjam. If that ends up happening I could def see JW hosting it. If not him then idk who else could that would already be there?
Someone mentioned one involving Janelle Monae, Lionel Richie, & some others. That sounds all well and good but all those people are too big to put on a stage, I'm a tent, at one time.
They don't have to advertise that all those people are going to be there though. If they had announced it beforehand, I'm pretty sure R. Kelly/Brittany Howard/Jim James/errybody else would have been considered too big for a tent as well. I don't think they would do a Superjam consisting solely of covers of one artist's songs, but a Michael Jackson jam would be absolutely phenomenal.
(1) Damon Albarn (2) Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (3) King Khan & His Shrines (4) Ty Segall (5) Ms Lauryn Hill (6) Darkside (7) Kanye (8) Janelle Monae (9) Goat (10) Meshuggah.
The best curator for the superjam, IMO, would be a continuation of Wayne Coyne/FLips set they had this week. They're collaborative enough to bring in a lot of their friends, and Jack White's ego wouldn't get in the way
In addition to "all you need is love" on the terror deluxe edition, down at One Big Holiday the FLips covered dear prudence, she's so heavy, and Lucy in the sky with diamonds. It was incredible. If coyne led a superjam, I could see them possibly taking this direction. The live songs were pretty true to the originals, arrangement wise, bit had that freaky flips sound on top.
Maybe Julian is a part of the Superjam, as alluded too in the video.
Beatles 50th anniversary superjam featuring Wayne Coyne, Ben Folds, ?uestlove, and special guest Julian Casablancas.

Superjam feat. ?uestlove and Chic and special guests Frank Ocean, Janelle Monae and more performing Michael Jackson
Did anyone else just assume the ? at the end of Superjam stands for ?uestlove? I sure did, but I guess they would've elaborated by now to help with ticket sales. Still holding out hope, as he would have the 2 best superjams of all time if last years wasn't so epic.
I'm down with a Jack White superjam, but I'd personally prefer Derek Trucks on guitar over anyone currently on the lineup

I immediately thought Questlove when I saw ? Superjam

I think I read somewhere that Questlove was contacted for the 2013 Superjam also. Also the ? is in quotes so maybe it is questlove. As for ticket concerns, in 2012 it was just listed as "SUPERJAM" so I don't think that's a decision.

The only thing that would make me angrier then Julian not being there in any form would be him only involved in the Superjam

Better than nothing right?
A point to make is however, that John Oates was initially billed as only being involved with the superjam, HOWEVER he had a couple shows added on the sonic stage I believe. Have hope, my friend.
If Julian Casablancas were to lead a superjam, an indie rock show with covers of The Velvet Underground, The Smiths, The Pixies, etc. would be fucking amazing
Jonathan Wilson, Jackson Browne, Bob Weir, Benmont Tench, Roy Harper and Dawes.
Sounds interesting, but what's the theme?
Wilson is at the center of a quasi-revival of the Laurel Canyon scene. I caught him at FloydFest a couple of summers ago playing in the backing band for Jackson Browne along with all of Dawes. It was pretty spectacular - mostly Browne's tunes, but also several from Warren Zevon and others. Wilson stays rather busy, as you can see.
Wilson also produced Roy Harper's new one and also played his birthday show along with Jimmy Page and David Gilmour. Admittedly, it'd be a little too low key for a Superjam, but that's just me and my wishful thinking.

What if it's Phil Lesh & Jack White and it's showing he's moved on from the incident so should everyone else. They play after kanye until the sun comes up

Don't get my hopes up, a Jack White and Phil Lesh Superjam would be mind-blowing.

Ugh. i heard about this on a morning radio show (its on a top 40 station, but the radio show is really entertaining...) and when they were talking about this the dj goes "are the FLips touring with miley? they must be right, if they were on stage with her?" and then the other girl was like "i don't think so, because i don't know who they are."
