If nothing else is going on I'd probably see him. That's one of the great things about Roo. You can go to a show you'd normally not attend and if you don't like it...then just leave! I'm not a fan of the man myself, but I loved his first album.
Then again I heard something about sandwiches earlier in this thread....that's def option B.

That's what I'm saying, I'll be there if it's unopposed and if it's awesome I'll stay, if it's just ok, I'll head to the superjam tent. Either way it's a win win.

I know for the most part history lines up with Superjam late night Saturday, but I think your jumping the gun a little. 2011 had a Superjam on Sunday, last year had one on Friday and Saturday night and one on Sunday. Also I know you don't believe it but Elton John is almost a guarantee for Sunday. People say Sunday is reserved for the weak hedliner but I don't think Bonnaroo thinks that way, they want people to stay and spend more money.

I was up front for both the Rock N Soul superjam and the bluegrass superjam, only witnessed a very small portion of the hip hop from afar. To me the Saturday night superjam was one of the greatest shows I ever saw. Im just assuming it'll pan out the same.
As as for Elton being Sunday, I really doubt it. They've only had one name bigger in the histery of Bonnaroo and he headlined Friday. Why would they put their #1 in the Sunday slot? A lot of people would be pissed considering most leave early because of Monday work. I'm not saying it's impossible, it just doesn't make sense considering they've always put their arguably weakest headliner Sunday, usually a jam band. Some would argue that Petty is bigger than Mumford, but Mumford was the hottest band last year headlining everywhere and even closing out Glastonbury. If the headliners this year were Prince, Daft Punk, Elton John, then I'd say Elton Sunday. Kanye, Elton, and whoever else, whoever else is getting Sunday. I just think it's logical, not definite.
I would definitely go if he did watch the throne with Jay-Z. I would maybe go of he did the glow in the dark rewind. But I would not go if he did yeezus(terrible album, the only really bad one he's made). I just really don't like how arrogant he is, calling himself a genius. His music is good (aside from yeezus) but it is not genius.

I think you are overestimating Elton John's 2014 draw. He played in Jonhson City, TN in Sept 2012 to roughly 8,500. Bruce Springsteen, Radiohead, Tool, Jay Z, and Metallica all have more drawing power in 2014. He'll he was listed 5th on the Iheartradio lineup behind Drake.

Lol, very laughable. If he's at Roo this year he'll be #1 on the poster. He was quiet last year but 2012 he made $80 million and 2011 he made $100 million. Nobody at Roo is sniffing those kinda figures.
Let me ask you this, if Elton John is headlining Friday or Saturday, how many people would miss his show? I'd bet a LOT of money that more would go to his show than Kanye's. A lot of people might be excited about Kanye but a lot would rather see Elton, just maybe not on this board which isn't a whole lot of people. Actually there's a decent amount of people that would rather eat a sandwich than attend Kanyes set. There's no way to prove this so the discussion is going nowhere fast.

He has a date announced for Saturday, so that is out. I am more just going off logic for him being on Sunday due to the tour path and how he is probably not a fan of playing three nights in a row which is what he would be doing since he has a Thursday date as well. Roo doesn't always go off logic. Usually, the biggest act plays Saturday night, but Macca played Friday last year.
P.S. fwiw, I am not really excited to see either Elton or Kanye.
Sorry, I went with Forbes, lol. But I'm sure billboard knows more, lmao.
I have no idea which one is more reliable. I just looked at whichever was tops in the google search.
Edit: It seems like Billboard was doing single tours because Forbes had way more dates listed for each artist, but Forbes also seems to be including non-touring income as they mentioned Dr. Dre's headphones, so I guess it is somewhere in the middle.

I'd guess that at least half of the currently 41 people that voted no or worse will still check out some of his set. The just refuse to admit it to themselves this early in the game.

I get the reason why Sunday would be possible for him, it just seems like a huge name for Sunday. Sunday is almost always, if not always, the weakest headliner. Elton is a living legend. Regardless if people think he's a big draw or not, he's fucking huge! He's done a lot in his career and has been doing it for a very long time. This would definitely be a first for Roo if he headlined Sunday. Tom Petty is the biggest name ever to headline Sunday and that's only because he had to compete with a Beatle and the hottest band of the year. At this point of the year, I don't see any band on fire like Mumford was last year, not even close. Daft Punk would be the only one but they're probably not gonna be there.

DMB was #1 on the bill in 2010 and played Sunday, so it's not totally unprecedented. Like I said, his date may be more influenced by outside factors versus what would happen in a perfect world. If Roo's choice was to get him Sunday or not at all, I would assume they would get him Sunday.
Maybe in fantasy land. I'd bet Kanye would even laugh at that.
Kanyes ego is big enough that he'd demand top billing to play a fest that disrespected him and fucked him over in the past. Just sayin, there's a pretty good argument for either side. Acknowledge this fact, and let's move on.

Billboard lists tour earnings. The Forbes list is top grossing which factors in different business ventures (ie: Dr Dre being on the list for Beats).
I never said he made all his money on tour, his movie Gnomeo and Juliet made $200 million. That has to do with his talent, not some product with his name on it.

That also has nothing to do with if he would play Sunday of Bonnaroo or not. Kanye makes leather jogging pants so he is the first ever Thursday What stage show.

His ego huge, as we all know. So why would he even be booked for Roo? So many annual Rooers are very against it, FTR not me, so why? Bonnaroo would do just fine without him. If he's there, great, but I don't think he's in any position to demand anything at this point.

Not even a single second, I have zero interest in seeing kanye. I'm already making plans on how to modify any shirts I would buy to eliminate his name from it, I refuse to wear his name.

But on the contrary, there's going to be so much hype about his return, good and bad. And you know what they say, there's no such thing as bad publicity. Kanye is all over the news and shit. Who was the last Roo headliner that was this visible in the media.
