Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I went with the "I guess" option, but I'm somewhat more enthusiastic about it than that. Bonnaroo is the most likely place in the world for me to give someone a chance that I'm otherwise uncertain of, so I'll be there & will make every effort to enjoy it.
...and if I just can't do it, I'll go find myself a nice spot for a LN set. No harm done.

I'm not a fan of him and I'd prefer someone else but if he is there, I'm sure we would end up checking it out. There are not going to be too many options during his set and I still have probably not seen and heard enough of him to fully validate my opinion. I was not a fan of Jay Z either, until we saw him absolutely kill it in 2010. Still don't listen to him too much outside of playing that show over and over again, but I have a respect for him that I don't have for Kanye. I don't think that part will change but maybe with my expectations so low, I will come away surprised. I have to start accepting that it will be Kanye and give it a shot.

memphis1979, the quote function is failing me at the moment.
I didn't say you attacked him personally, the tone of your post just rubbed me the wrong way, particularly this: "I don't know how any music lover would listen to that shiz." Call me crazy, but I don't go around saying that about music I don't care for. At least without the awareness that I'm being kind of a wank.

id say the same of justin Bieber, and countless other no talent hacks who get money for their off stage antics, instead of their on stage music.
You said I acted like he had slapped a baby. Thats personal. I attacked his music. I said that people who listen to it aren't true music lovers. Not sure how that equates to slapping a baby. Although, I believe a crying baby certainly sounds better then Kanye Wests music
this board makes me feel like i'm the only person with a fairly neutral opinion of kanye. his music has always been played around me since i got "in to" music (college dropout came out my freshman year of high school....) but i really have no strong love or hate feeling towards him. i don't choose to listen to his music, but when it's on i don't mind it. i will see his show at roo, because outside of this i would never pay to see him on his own. that being said, i recognize that he's talented in his own right and that seeing him will more than likely be impressive, but i feel like even a live show wouldn't sway me in either direction....

I am with you on this. I tried to get into Yeezus but just couldn't. I don't think he's anything that deserves the negative reaction he elicits from so many though. Whenever anyone complaind about his '08 set, I always wonder why they weren't at Chromeo, Ghostland or Sigur Ros instead.
