They will. If we don't get it by next Wednesday, I'm realistically not expecting anything till after the Primaveras. I've started to cross my fingers for Future Islands or Mø (but haven't kept up with shows/tours/festivals in Chicago).
I feel like we just did the Savages/Parquet Courts show (Lincoln Hall) on Thursday and Wolf Eyes/Pharmakon (Bottom Lounge) on Saturday (but left after Pharmakon). My wife wasn't feeling the best that weekend and tends to be directionally challenged when she has too much stimulation. When she goes, I go. That said, that won't be the case this year. My plan is to sleep for the 20 hour bus ride, both ways. I'll be good for the long haul.
I'm hoping for a Perfect Pussy/DIIV after show. After seeing Perfect Pussy last month, I need as much of that as I can get in my life.
It's not so bad. The DIIV/Perfect Pussy/Deafheaven overlap kinda stings, but I just saw PP and will see Deafheaven in just a few days. Hopefully the after-shows will help out.

Start at Speedy Ortiz and skip DIIV and that will solve some of your problem right there.

Am I really the only person that likes DIIV?
I just saw Speedy a few months ago, too. Basically, I'm hoping for a DIIV after-show. The Neneh/Haxan Cloak overlap also hurts, but I have another shot at Haxan.
I really love that album. Just doesn't seem like it would translate to much excitement on stage. I'd know better if they hadn't gotten delayed out of their original slot at Bonnaroo last year.
Agree on the Neneh/Haxan overlap. It is the only one I'd really have at first glance. Neneh wins that one every time for me though - she just never plays in the US.

Got it. I'm thinking this got put out early. The first paragraph, haha "Pitchfork Music Festival 2014 is just one month away!" This wasn't on there.

I caught their set at Bonnaroo last year (and caught them when they opened for Japandroids in DC). They took every song much faster than the recorded tempos, which helped with the whole "lack of excitement" thing. But I love that kind of "sea of layered guitars" poppy/punky rock anyway, so I won't be missing their set.

What are they doing with Death Grips playing so early on Friday? I know they're not as popular as other acts, but that set may discombobulate me for the remainder of the fest.
Saturday: Twin Peaks -> Circulatory System -> Wild Beasts -> Cloud Nothings -> Pusha T -> (end of) The Range -> Kelela -> Danny Brown -> FKA Twigs -> NMH
I know what I said about St. Vincent, but I'll have another two opportunities to see a full show. FKA Twigs, I won't. I'm also supppppppper bummed about Haxan Cloak.
I actually missed DDG at Coach. We were still setting up camp as they went on. I've seen them a few times though. They are good live but nothing special. If there isn't anything going on when they played, I'd see it again.
