Is this some fucking odd timing, or what? Jeeze... R.I.P. to a childhood favorite, the first wrestler that got me interested in pro wrestling.
Im just happy he settled his argument with the WWE and they put him in the HOF as well as allowed him to address the fans on Raw before he passed away. Unfortunately I dont see this died to soon trend stopping with all the drugs these older guys were taking back in the day along with the physical exhaustion they put themselves through.

Anybody currently watching wrestling. I started watching again before the Royal Rumble this year, and I am hooked. The roster is great, and so are the storylines. I really hope they can keep it up
I had to Google to see if WWE was continuing Starrcade. It was still around when I was watching wrestling in the mid 90's. I was always a fan of NWA/WCW over WWF as a kid. Hulk Hogan and that bunch all seemed extra cheesy to me. Halloween Havoc was probably actually my favorite pay-per-view wrestling event. I never actually got to watch it on PPV. I had to wait for the VHS release.
You know who got guilt tripped into getting the WWE Network for her kids? This girl. That is all my four kids (I'm including Brad in that count) watched in July & August. And I mean ALL. Thank God football started back.

C'mon. Everybody knows football is fake and predetermined.
Anyone else going to Night of Champions September 21?
I made plans to buy tickets, but with Bryan and Barrett injured, Ambrose taking time off to film a movie, ect ect, I decided to pass. Kind of regretting it now that it's the day-of though.

It was a great show, even without those 2 (as well as reigns being scratched)! Pretty hot crowd throughout. Only really dud match for me was Miz vs Ziggler, and that's mostly due to antics at ringside with R-Truth, Sandow, and Florida-Georgia Line on commentary.
I haven't really paid attention to wrestling since I was thirteen but the goofiness and soap opera qualities still get me to turn it on every now and then. My sis works with a guy who lives in his van and puts on a wrestling show here in PDX. He keeps inviting her and now after reading this my interest in wrasslin' is renewed. Maybe I'll go check out van man to see what kind of ridiculous storylines he's concocted.
Still haven't seen the whole main event of Survivor Series (heard the rest of the show was the drizzling shits, but the main is supposedly amazing), but I did get to see the Sting debut... seemed done well enough to me (despite a dead sounding crowd). I haven't watched Raw in months, and hearing that he wasn't there the following night... huh? Slow burn?

Yeah, I bet he has super-limited dates in his contract. I think a lot of people may have been thrown off by the odd music choice. I mean, they really fucked up by not having him come out to that signature WCW theme. They even used it in the commercial for their video game. With that said, the TV mix made the crowd sound deader than it actually was. Fan videos on YouTube give a better idea of how the crowd reacted--which was loud, but not as loud as it should have been for Sting.

I'd say we get stung vs Triple H at the Rumble, and then Sting in a Mania match, maybe against Taker
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
I wish....I'll watch it on the Network sometime....I'm still a month behind watching wrestling....I'm currently up to the go-home smackdown before Survivor Series.
I live with a rasslin fan who spends 58% of the week watching relic wrestling on their newish network... but I do want to add that Mark Crozer needs to release a new solo album because his Wyatt song is the highlight of WWE to me. I jam to it every time it comes on!
