Let's keep in mind that we ruined the Skrillex thread solely because it was Phi's.
He made Phil Lesh sad, and caused all artists associated with The Dead to boycott a tract of land in rural middle Tennessee (except Warren Haynes and Bruce Hornsby).

We can try our best to move the posts in the original thread that are just complaints/hating but I can't guarantee that will be easy or even work. Regular members reporting posts will be the most helpful.
I think that even though he might be a great artist (not to my taste, but I accept his talent) he disrespected the festival we love and that we obsesses all year long over. To some of use bonnaroo is a second home, a place where we can finally not give a shit about "the real world" and Kanye disrespected all of it. I don't care if bands I dont like play, that comes with any music fest, but it's specifically him people have been writing about in the walls at roo every year, and bonnaroo gave not two fucks about what the people thought and went for the money. Also I know the whole "vibe" thing is over-used and that others artists have come who had the same "bad-vibe", but it's true, he is a giant egocentric fuck who will help bring other giant egocentric fucks to the farm.
Also please people don't come defend him, this is the hate thread, there's a Kanye fan club thread somewhere around this board as well so go there.

I don't care for Kanye, but him being there won't ruin roo for me. Is the silent disco open during headliners? I hope people don't go out of there way too cause trouble at his show. And anyone who goes as a fan hope you enjoy his show. Radiate Positivity!
i don't hate Kanye or anything, and i certainly don't hold a grudge about '08, but i don't really like his music. some of the beats are pretty cool, but i don't get his lyrics at all. plus, i thought his '08 show was painfully bad. it reminded me of a middle school play. "but computer, how will i ever experience love?" was one of the most cringe-able things i've ever heard a performer say. i'll still go see him this year because he might have a great stage setup, but i'm not expecting anything.

I wouldn't expect people looking to start trouble to actually follow the rules. Only having one thread would make it harder to divert people since they would have no easy alternative, and everyone would just be piling on top of each other.

The festival does whatever it does for the money, that's why they forgave him (most likely tho they had to apologize to him and do him favours until his diva ass accepted the gratuitous amounts of money that were being thrown at him.)

Definitely is possible, and I do believe it, I do have a grudge against roo organizers for multiple reasons, but I am their sheep so I'll keep coming back.
