If you haven't realized by reading this thread, a lot of people are misdirecting their rage, which means it's a unfounded complaint (not entirely, relax, I know Kanye showed up late), or, in dumb-dumb talk, it's a bunch of "wah wahs."
So you are saying that people who are anti-knaye have to be irrational? Legitimate civilized discussion can take place. sang_xcx is being pretty level-headed. I haven't commented yet but I'm not going to be throwing a fit online. Unless we can have an irrational and rational anti-kanye thread, the title needs to be changed. I stand by my original statement. The thread titles is demeaning to people with a certain point of view.

No, that's not what I'm saying. I know plenty of people are not fans of Ye, I even live with one. People who come here acting like Kanye is some evil mastermind who intentionally screwed Roo over are misinformed and when they start a Ye bashing party, they come off as uninformed doofuses.
Sangreal is telling a very slanted story, acting like Roo didn't play a major part in that.
And I find it hilarious that people get so upset at me even suggesting that the two parties hold equal blame.
Notice how emoney came in here, gave an honest opinion, and left without issue? Do that.

I completely agree that Roo should have been held accountable for the whole thing as well, them not addressing the issue is just the as bad if not worse
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

I respect and agree with most of what you say, but I would rather the thread have a more neutral title.

They addressed the issue afterwards and their comment was that Pearl Jam went long and there were delays setting up Kanye's stage show. They took the blame but nobody remembers that. I do still think Kanye played some part but festival organizers taking the blame is something nobody really brings up.

But then it'd just be a duplicate of the other Kanye thread and this one would get locked.

Thanks for clearing that up, I clearly don't remember that either, its sad, but it's much easier to remember the negative things in life

Maybe the easier thing would be to build that playpen you mentioned, at least for a few weeks while new users flood the board in wake of tonights announcement. Or just require new posters to wait a few days before they can post.

Preaching to the choir at this point. The playpen would've kept the Headliner thread tolerable and less cluttered.
Pearl Jam was the headliner. Roo headliners to that point almost always played longer than their set time (and had no one playing after them). Pearl Jam is also known for playing past curfews. So if there is any blame on roo it's in the scheduling. But what I took from it is that everything was ready but it still took quite a while for Kanye to come out. We don't really know why, but I'm just assuming that's on him.

So, Roo isn't responsible for their own sound sucking and not getting it sorted for over an hour (or hours)?

Was that their problem or Kanye's sound people? Sound was good for Pearl Jam right? Why wouldn't it work for Kanye?

I'm not the biggest fan of Kanye and I get a lot of people aren't but he's a perfectionist, this year there will be no production flaws, he'll be UNOPPOSED and be playing at night this time. He's gonna come out and do his thing and leave all the fans who show up on that field Friday night amazed.
He's going to kill it weather you like his music or not.
"I'm doing pretty good as far as geniuses go ... I'm like a machine. I'm a robot. You cannot offend a robot ... I'm going down as a legend, whether or not you like me or not. I am the new Jim Morrison. I am the new Kurt Cobain ... The Bible had 20, 30, 40, 50 characters in it. You don't think that I would be one of the characters of today's modern Bible?"

Damn it sang it just didnt!
But honestly no clue, there may of been some changing parts due to his setup(the backing tracks, jane, etc) i dont know too much about setting stages but i do recall there being mention of issues in getting the sound set up.

Yea, it's all beside the point really. The biggest issue was his reaction to it. Kanye is just a dick and that's why some people don't like him.

I mean, both AC and Kanye share the blame for what happened before. Kanye isn't innocent in all that. But the fact is, I don't care, and his show this year is gonna be TIT

The biggest issue was Kanye defending himself against tons of people unfairly putting all of the blame on him? You're the best, Sang.
The "he's a dick" thing would carry more weight if people didn't like other dick musicians while using that as a reason for bashing Kanye.
