I cannot wait to see what a late night EDM Bonnaroo looks sounds and moves like. Superjam is worth seeing pretty much every year, and my curiosity is piqued with Skrillex taking over.

this is either gonna be an awesome once-in-a-Bonnaroo set or a trainwreck waiting to happen. I will go just to see which one it is.
at Buku last year Zedd was a little late coming on. They announced they were having some sort of technical problem.
The strange solution to the technical problem was to start the show with Zedd, Flux Pavilion, and R3hab all up there at the same time, twisting knobs and pushing buttons. I don't know why having two extra DJs up there made the technical problems go away. I don't know if he was using their equipment or what the deal was, but all three of them were up there DJing, or doing whatever those kids do these days.
What I do know is the crowd was going absolutely insane. It was awesome.
That's how I picture this superjam going down, more of a personality party then anything else. I mean its not like they are bringing their individual playing styles and guitar tones to the picture.
And let me be clear, I have absolutely no issue with this. I love live electronic music, and am looking forward to seeing what happens. I think it would be cool if the genres ended up going all over the place, by which I mean he doesn't just pull from his pool of OWSLA artists, but bring in some other cats so we go from dubstep > trance > deep house > jungle. I think the more erratic the songs played the more crazy the set will be.

^ I agree Postjack. I just think that if this is not planned out carefully, this could be an epic fail but I am hoping for an amazing set!
I concur.
I don't know much about Skrillex, but based on the interviews I've read he seems to really care about what he does, and is very interested in putting in work, as opposed to just partying. I would hope he sees this as an opportunity to do something really cool and unique, and plan accordingly.
But who knows! I'll see you there and we'll decide afterwards how it went.

Skrillex will put on a show like he always does, I haven't seen him do a set outside Dog Blood since seeing that spaceship take off at Ultra 2012. Super excited to see him again.
I also have heard that his new spaceship is about three times bigger than the last one so...
As for the superjam, I'm not expecting dudes like Dillon or Snake to show up, 6 DJ's behind the decks isn't a superjam... I'm fully expecting rappers like Chance the Rapper or A$AP, maybe some of his rock influences since Sonny has always loved working with old big names
2014 Festivals:
Ultra Music Festival Buenos Aires
A State of Trance Buenos Aires
Ultra Music Festival Miami
EDC Las Vegas
Bonnaroo
Electric Forest
Lollapalooza
"Make no mistake about it – the upcoming Skrillex tour will be huge. It will take about eight 53 foot tractor-trailer trucks to transport. There will be lights, video, special effects, pyrotechnics, you name it."
That's a massive production. Can't wait to see it. Any chance he gets late night What? Probably not but who knows with a rig that big.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
I really wish he wouldn't embrace the "brostep" label... ugh..
I read that the title was changed to this. It was originally "This much power" but he played this like 8th months ago on something and Zomboy basically took the unreleased track and made his own or "stole it". The title of the song changed based off that or that's at least what everyone is claiming.

This.
He's not embracing it. He's making fun of it and calling out Zomboy.
I would say that the traditional Superjam is usually Saturday. What the question really is is whether or not the Superjam ? is the traditional one or more like the hip-hop and bluegrass jams.
The Doors & Skrillex - "Superjam" v.1.0 I think this may have been one of his biggest production challenges of his life. This ended up a great song, and perhaps the single most important part of his career that makes this so hyped for this Superjam.
