1) Down to meet whenever/wherever. (I suggest somewhere with alcohol ) I'm staying with my cousin, who has yet to purchase a ticket, so it may be me +1. Maybe, if she ever buys her ticket. She sucks. 2) Are there after shows like Lolla for Riot? 3) Anyone know when the schedule comes out?
I promise it's nothing personal. I'm still trying to find a sitter for Mrs. GL. I'm too afraid to leave her alone for a week with dogs and all that needs to be done here. I'm begging a few people to come stay with her while I'm gone. The issue is, we will see all our family the week before while she's at the beach and I bail on that midway through for Hopscotch.
Just keep your fingers crossed. I haven't gotten rid of anything yet.

I may be in Toronto during the Canadian version of Riot fest. It's a pretty bad line up, but The Cure, Death from above 1979, Afghan Whigs and Metric make it at least mildly desirable. If they choose to fill a line up with mostly Canadian content, I'd at least hope to see Metz, Mac Demarco, Vietnam Cong, Japandroids and some other cool shit, not City and Colour and Billy Fucking Tallent. Sadly, these are big draws up here, apparently.

Hey now. I used to love me some Billy Fucking Talent.
It's actually a good show, and I didn't hate them when they first came out, but over saturation takes it's toll.
I'm listening to the first album now and I'm not hating it. I still know all the words, which is surprising. I never got to see them live, so when I saw them on the Toronto line up I was actually a bit jealous.
And over saturation here never happened. I'm not sure they ever got too popular...

canadian radio stations have a mandate to play 70% Canadian content. With so few radio friendly Canadian bands... Well, you can just imagine.
I'm definitely at Chicago. Me +3 would be down for a meetup, or some shared brews in VIP. First Riot for us, first real time in Chicago for me. Been hearing decent things about the food in the festival, thoughts?

There was nothing special about the food at the festival the last couple years. Lots of good restaurants in the surrounding neighborhoods however.

There is a pretty big group of people with me for Chicago. I think 5 total staying at the same house, and monkeymonkeyjoyjoy will be there too!! Easymorningrebel, where did you settle on staying?
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
When do the times come out for the sets or am I just missing something? I really would like to do a day pass on Sunday but if it's all conflicted I might save my $. Or I might just go anyway and scratch Billy Bragg off the bucket list.
Yea, it shocks me that ACL's schedule is out and it's a month after this, yet this had no schedule and still no late night announcements. I'm getting antsy.....

Expect the schedule very late, as in week of or before the fest.
