Not doing that Hot Snakes show is criminal. Thurston/Mudhoney is a brilliant show as well.
That Saturday night is ridiculous. I am glad I don't have to make that decision. Agreed on Thurston/Mudhoney. I would do that in a heartbeat. That Cock Sparrer/Stiff Little Fingers show on Friday makes younger Dave super happy.

Unless it's metal, I'm down. My cousin will be harder to convince. So I needed something that we'd both want to see. I could probably drag her Rise Against The Get Up Kids or Bad Religion because she knows a few songs by them, but everything else will be a no- go.

Oh snap. I didn't even see Touche Amore opening for Rise Against at first.

You mean Radkey opening for a bunch of other bands. This would be a great place to see them before they finally blow up on this side of the pond.

Well, I am an idiot. Maybe not a full on idiot, maybe just a little dumb and numb from having too many loved ones die in one summer or maybe it was because I was drinking wine that night and couldn't see straight. But, I seem to have misunderstood the idea of a payment plan, and assumed that the subsequent payments would come out automatically, so I missed both of these last payments on my two tickets. Per the email I found (which has a subject heading that says "Your Request for Riot Fest Chicago - Layaway (2nd Payment) has been Approved", misleading and seemingly not worthy of opening and reading in full, as the subject heading seems to say it all....), there are no exceptions and I have now lost 229 dollars and have no tickets to Riot Fest now.
Currently, a lawyerly friend is going to call as me and plead for sympathy. But with it being sold out, I'm guessing "no exceptions" means no exceptions. C'est La Vie.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

That really sucks!!! Hopefully if you call them and explain to them that the heading of their e-mail was completely misleading they'll allow you to make up the last payments. I mean, if you call and say "You have tickets reserved for me already and I have to money to pay them off right now." Then I feel like that'd be hard to turn down. Good luck Ang! Let us know how it goes!

Contact Ticketfly, they'll work with you. Also, the fest isn't sold out, they should be motivated to take your money
