Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I'm with a group of 4, but wouldn't mind camping near some inforoo'ers. Coming in from Nashville, so I may try to meet up where sethc33 decides. Maybe we can print something we can put in our windows so we can stay together through the toll booths.
I LOVE doing this festival alone. This will be my 8th roo and ive been 5 of those by myself. The first time everyone bailed on me and I was nervous, friggin loved it and started doing it on purpose. I also like to meet up with other loners on here and plan some hanging out an meeting at roo. This year it will be myself and a girlfriend, two cute girls alone at Bonnaroo. I come to meet new people!! Hit me up and lets talk about the festival, friday night costumes, teddy graham people, human fire hydrants, amish donuts, over priced low alcohol craft beers, Just for the love of it all don't say " Oh my god, its soooo hot."

Y'all are welcome to meet up with us. I'm a local, this is my 6th straight 'Roo (3rd alone). We're trying to figure out a spot to meet up before we get in line so we can have a 'super-camp' once we get in. Like I said earlier, I feel our best luck would be going in sometime Thursday morning before noon. I've done this the past 3 years and ended up around the Star Wars camps, plus this will give us time to set up and drink some beers before the shows start Thursday afternoon.
My very first Roo I was supposed to meet up with some people that had a spot for me at their camp. When I got there, they no longer had any room, because some others had claimed it. So, here I am with a cooler and a duffel bag, totally screwed. I ended up making friends randomly when inside Centeroo, and upon hearing my dilemma, they let me sleep in one of their huge tents. It's still one of the best times I had (although it's really hard to compare when they're all good). So, just do better than I did, and take your own tent, and you'll be A-OK!
....on the back road that runs parallel to 24 around 11:00 works perfect for me. I've gone that way the last 3 years and driven right in and been camped withing a 10 minute walk.

I don't think this will be the best spot to meet. This is Bushy Branch Road, and it will be backed up for miles. We will need to meet somewhere before we turn on Bushy Branch, such as the Walgreens or Rite Aid pharmacy. I would say meet at the high school ,but that is where the Bonnaroo vols HQ is, so it will prob be a madhouse there.
Thank you Silent for the fix, you are correct. I plan on getting to the Manchester area right around 10:30 Thursday morning and would love to caravan in with folks.

Seth, all vols will be checked in by Tuesday afternoon. I think the high school is used throughout the week for other Roo related things though. But, even when vols are checking in it's not overflowing in the parking lots.

Yeah, I know, but still feel like it could be a cluster in that parking lot...but I'm down for whatever!
I was thinking about 41/2 it runs along side 24 and you can catch about 15 miles outside of the farm and it takes you right in without any wait. That's the way I've gone in the last 3 years and haven't had to wait in line yet. However, I'm not a local and would be cool with anything easy you want to set up.

See, that's the thing...I'm spoiled in that I don't have to get on the interstate at all, so I don't know what exits they close and where anyone will be getting off. I take Hwy. 55 (McMinnville Hwy) to Manchester, and it is a straight shot. I turn right onto Ragsdale Road, then right on Bushy Branch.
Yes! We need someone local to tell us where to meet up, because I am clueless.
So, what time are y'all planning on getting to Manchester/going in to the farm? Like I said earlier, I feel sometime before noon will get us a good spot, probably around the Star Wars camps...
I'll be staying with a friend of mine who lives close to Manchester on wednesday night, so I could definitely meet up late morning.

Dudegirl! I'm in the same boat this year. First roo. All by myself. I've talked around and I'm hella excited about it. Plus I have friends who'll be there, just in other camps. Also, I used to live in Savannah too. Twins?

It looks like my friend I was going to meet up with on the drive down is aiming to get there Wednesday night around 7, which is far too early for me with work and the drive from PA. Consequently, it appears as though I'm heading down solo. This is my 9th roo and 2nd going down by myself, and I typically end up straying from my camping group anyway, so this kind of sounds perfect if you guys wouldn't mind me joining in on a potential meet up. Plus, I can't let an opportunity for guaranteed awesome neighbors pass me by :-)

The more the merrier!
We're 2 weeks out, so let's start deciding on a good spot to meet up before-hand...
I'm a Roo loner as well and would enjoy meeting up with fellow vagabond people. However, I cant come until Thursday night so wouldn't be able to meet and group camp. Would appreciate if you guys put up a location/description on this thread after you get setup! This way I can find you at some point and see all the fellow lone travelers.

So similar to your first time my friends bailed on me as well. Im flying from CA to Okc, picking up an RV and headed to the farm hoping to arrive late wednesday night, and going in thursday morning. I've been trying to find others who are looking to share my RV/camp space and pitch some money, anything helps, since my friends screwed me on the rv rental, rv space and gas im having to pick up the tabs all on my own. Message me if your down, or maybe just to meet up...

Yay! Okay. I'm going to have to defer to you guys on the meet up spot. I've been going a long time, but it's always been an in and out mission, not much time to explore the surrounding area, so I essentially have zero knowledge of where would be the best/easiest place.

This. Seth, if you think the Walgreens or Riteaid seem like a good place to meet, that is cool with me. At least it would be easy for us out of town-ers to see.
I think every fan of Bonnaroo should experience the festival on their own at least once - it's an amazing experience to say the least. I had been in 2010 and 2011 with groups, and went in 2012 solo since my friends bailed also. I saw Bonnaroo in a completely different light and the freedom to do whatever the hell I wanted, anytime I wanted and not worrying about the group, was awesome.
I will suggest to bring a backpack to carry a change of clothes, wet wipes, camelbak, etc. - bascially everything you need to be self-sufficient and adaptable to do anything you want to do.
Make friends with a camping group of responsible guys/gals preferably and exchange numbers so you have a safety net.
Most of all, don't worry about dwelling on what might not go in your favor doing Roo by yourself, but embrace the freedom and adventure you are certainly going to have. It will all be an awesome story you can tell when you're 80 years old. Bonnaroo is full of great people that will be happy to help out anyone who needs something. Just be open to meeting as many people as you can and make some friends along your journey!
Sooo... Are we still going to select a meeting place/time so that those of us who would like to can drive in together? It would probably be a good time to get all the details nailed down and figure out who is going to join in. Even if there are just a few of us, it would still be nice.

I'm still debating camping or not since I'll be alone the first couple days. My best friend is joining me on Saturday and Sunday, so we may end up camping those two days if that's doable to split it like that. Otherwise I had considered staying with a friend in Murfreesboro till Saturday. Decisions.

I'm working for an out of town company during the festival and won't be able to make it to the tent only area till late Thursday night and also going by myself . Any idea if there will still be room ? Any help will be appreciated .

^^^^This^^^ would be nice to know we are camping around some trustworthy folks rather than the luck of the draw.
I'm still down to camp with some folks...I just heard from some friends who are taking a RV in that I can camp beside their RV in my tent, but not sure if I want to breathe in generator fumes and exhaust all weekend, plus I can see them other times throughout the year...might just find out where they are camped and meet up with them there and still have my camp with the wonderful solo-ers of Inforoo!
Alright cool. Well, anyone who is still up for this should chime in again. I'm about to tag everyone who showed interest if no one responds in a day or two.
