Neither TomorrowWorld nor Counterpoint is in Atlanta. I doubt that they would be celebrating their return to Atlanta by playing an electronic fest 45 minutes south of the city.
I'm not saying there isn't a chance for Music Midtown, just posting the pic for proof. But I would say that it definitely lowers the chances of a MM appearance.
Unless MM changed the dates of the fest this year? Did we ever get an official confirmation when it's happening?
TomorrowWorld says Atlanta on it's website.
The first post of this thread confirms the dates as well as in an e-mail 2013 VIP-ers got.
TomorrowWorld's site SAYS Atlanta, but it is most definitely NOT in Atlanta. I lived 5 minutes walking distance from the TomorrowWorld site a few years ago. It is in the middle of nowhere -- on a farm next to the Hooch, with no public transit & the closest business is a redneck mom & pop gas station. It took me 30-45 mintues to drive to Atlanta from there.
If they decide to call TW their "Atlanta homecoming," they'll be insulting the entire city. I would bet they do a headlining show at either Phillips Arena, or (hopefully) Piedmont Park/Centennial Park, if they aren't playing MM.
EDIT: TomorrowWorld is in Chattahoochee Hills, not Atlanta.

Dude you're so off base right it's insane. Maybe they'll play two weeks in a row but a PROMOTER doesn't have a poster created and post it to promote Atlantas two sons for a concert to be wrong.

They kept saying "we love you ATL" during CounterPoint though.
Okay, so it sounds like Outkast is having their own thing, most likely at Philips Arena. So now that opens up a headliner spot. Possibly Jack White/Eminem now?

Centennial Park is the most likely choice.
But just because OutKast is doing does not mean they won't be at MM. They're doing two weekends at ACL and did it at Coachella.
But if they are not at MM, I'd say Jack White/The Cure definitely because those are the only two whose tour dates make sense for it.
Eminem is a shot in the dark so I wouldn't bet on it.

I'm going to be so disappointed if they only play TW. Hopefully they sell one day tickets, if they do, because I can't spend an entire weekend fist pumping to the same music being played over and over.

Haha, me too though. First CP now TW. No room for us under-18's

I was told the headliners are Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch/Journey/The Edgar Winter Group
Given MM's hard-on for 90's alt-rock (come on Peter Conlon, the 90's were great, but get with the times), I'm going to place a bet on Veruca Salt making an appearance.

All this talk of Eminem and Outkast being rumored for shows around the same time may be due to the ONE music fest that happens in September during another weekend here in Atlanta. It is a Hip-Hop and R&B type of fest that last year had Snoop Dogg, Goodie Mob, Erica Badu and many others. They have announced early tickets priced low and that they have moved venues to a larger space adding a third stage this year. They haven't announced the lineup yet. So there is a possibility.

We've already mentioned it but I don't think either is big enough

I can dig this. I actually prefer it since it says they will be doing an exgtended set and it will be much easier getting a good spot at this show than it would be at Music Midtown. Now I want to be greedy and hope they play OMF as well.
