I can dig this. I actually prefer it since it says they will be doing an exgtended set and it will be much easier getting a good spot at this show than it would be at Music Midtown. Now I want to be greedy and hope they play OMF as well.
Outkast are in NC that weekend. So it's a definite no

My college roommate lives in Charlotte so Outkast seems like a good excuse to go pay him a visit depending on what OMF's lineup looks like.
could vampire weekend be a possibility? Their hitting all the festivals this year and played here back in May. Also chvrches are out of the question for MM because they just announced a new tour and are coming in October I think

God I fucking hope VW isn't there. But I wouldn't be surprised. Just hope they don't take up a big spot if they are. I'm still really hoping for Kasabian though. I think either the strokes or Interpol are gonna be there just to fill an indie spot.

Foster the People is looking like a good possibility too.. Atlanta isnt on there tour and they have the whole week off of the Music Midtown dates. They are playing Austin City Limits music festival beggining of october so very strong possibility in my opinion

I think they could be a good fit even though they played counter point it does seem likely

I wouldn't count on it, but it is possible. Counterpoint might be enough to keep them fr being there.

Seems as if Lana del Rey could land a spot to take tegan and Sara's place from last year, she played here in May I believe and she just released a new album and she's playing ACL
So J Roddy Walston & the Business has on their tour schedule the Bristol rythmn & roots fest in TN on their website for sept 19-21... we know they're not playing everyday... Think there is a chance they'll play at MM? (They're an up and coming rock band, have one song 105.7 plays, are playing bonnaroo, and do not have an ATL tour date) seem to be a good contender to me and I'm really hoping that they come to MM! Moon Taxi and St. Paul & broken bones are playing in Bristol too.
I said this earlier in the thread I think. But yeah in my head they've been confirmed for a while.
J Roddy is out... They play in Ohio on Friday and in Bristol, TN on Saturday of MM. Stinks I was really hoping they'd be on the lineup...

She would play the Southeast Music Hall. T&S played Roxy.
But I would really doubt it with Lorde already there. It'd be two very similar big artists there and that won't work well for the diversity.
How do we know this fest is even happening? There hasn't been any website, fb, twitter, etc activity since it ended last year.
I've gotten mail from the piedmont park conservatory with it on their calendar.
This ^
I had the same thought same last year. Also, Lorde, 21 Pilots and Petty's tour dates also make it obvious.
The first post of the thread was also a link to a schedule for Piedmont Park confirming 9/19-9/20.
As well as last years VIP's got an e-mail confirming the dates.
And finally (not sure if this really has any significance anymore), but MM is following OutKast on twitter. So there's at least activity with that and the TBT they did on facebook.
EDIT: Sorry Longinus I forgot...*tips fedora* m'lady

I was excited for Outkast at Centennial Park, too, until I saw the different price levels. GA only gets you to the back part of the lawn. Gotta pay the $105 for inner circle or $250 for VIP. At least at Party in the Park you could still get pretty close with just the GA ticket.
