I promised myself after missing half of the Jim James superjam that I wasn't going to miss any of the next Superjam, whatever it was. But I'm going to go back and forth for the next 45 days.
I'm skipping most of Jack White for Forecastle so... The plan right now is to start at Skrillex Superjam since I think it will be the most crowded tent by far and it begins the earliest. If it's badass, I'll stay. If it starts to suck, I'll head to Frank Ocean and then finish up at Nick Cave. As long as the end result is me inside the tent for Darkside, I'm pretty certain whatever I see in that first timeslot will be awesome.

I know I've gone back and forth on this, but my heart/gut/instinct is really telling me to go with Frank Ocean. I was a late comer to Channel Orange but I love it more every time I listen to it. The wife wants to do the superjam though! argh, I'm gonna have to work on persuading her.

You don't have to see every show together. It can always be fun to compare notes later.

Second! Definitely split up and see the stuff you each want to see and then meet up later.
This one is Easy - FLIPS. I would be interested in Nick Cave and depending on the collaborators think the Skrillex Superjam could be fun, the Flips put on a fantastic show and will do something special for Bonnaroo.
What I don't understand is Frank Ocean? This is R&B right? Isn't that going to be a boring downer at night? I'm surprised there are that many R&B fans in here.... I'm well prepared to take some shit for those comments.

I agree. And I'm actually debating this strategy for Friday as she hates Kanye and loves Die Antwoord, while I love Kanye and am just meh to Die Antwoord. But, she actually wants to stay together at shows more than I do. I'm sort of her safety net if anything goes wrong. So convincing her to go explore on her own is its own hurdle. I don't mind either way, I obviously want to spend the nights with her if possible. But splitting up has definitely been discussed this year more than others, in large part due to her lack of interest in the Friday headliner. Idk. It'll probably be an in the moment decision.
Definitely Frank Ocean. Second to Disclosure, this is going to be the most overly crowded tent of the weekend. Friday Late Night is gonna be a massive party, Frank Ocean => Darkside will be a great chill late night.
After going to last years SuperJam, I will never miss anything SuperJam again. So i will leave Jack White a bit early to try and get a half decent spot for the SJ and depending on how that goes I will either stay for the entirety of the set or leave early to catch what i can of Frank Ocean and then stay to catch Glitch Mob.
Also i know R Kelly wont be there this year but i am 100% down for another Trapped in the Closet singalongs, just saying.

I am not a fan of Frank Ocean either, I wish that him and Cut Copy's spots were switched.
But Channel Orange was a huge smash, Frank Ocean doesn't tour much at all, and from past knowledge of music and emotions: R&B = baby making music. His tent will be pretty crowded.

Picking a meetup time and place for after the shows may help her feel more comfortable splitting up.

Yup. Always be smart about these meet-up places. Pick something away from where a ton of people will be.

I don't get it either, I like R&B music but I don't have an interest in watching Frank Ocean make love to the crowd over watching a band that's known for putting on a great LN show at Roo. To each their own as they say.
I know it's been said 5000000 times but I couldn't have asked for a better one-two punch than Nick Cave -> Darkside. That's the one instance on the schedule I can point to and call brilliant scheduling.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

It will be fantastic. The perfect amount of insane.

In 2004 my girlfriend and I split up and agreed to meet "at the fence on the walkway between Which and What". At the time it was early in the day and there were not a lot of people there. Come meet up time that wasn't the case, and we lost each other for hours. Back then we didn't have the things all you kids have now, what with your acceptable cell phone reception, your Dan Fogelberg, your Zima, hula hoops, and pacman video games.
