saw them in 2009 and it was awesome. would i want to see them now? nope. the last 2 albums were such a buzz kill, and it doesnt seem like they'll go back to their roots anytime soon.
Let me clarify... I do not hate any of those bands. I was never big into Dave, he is just kinda meh to me. I really liked Coldplays first album, the second one also to an extent. I've seen them a few times, they put on a really good show. Black Keys I've seen about 10 times over the years and it just seems like I can see them somewhere or another every 6 months so that trio of headliners would increase the likelyhood I spent my time and money on other festivals that year
I'm not ashamed to admit that A Rush of Blood to the Head (as well as Parachutes) is still a favorite of mine. Haven't connected much with the latest albums, but when I saw them in 2005 they put on a great show.

Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

Saw them in 2003 (Elton John came onstage and did "Trouble") and it was a pretty good show. That being said, I have no interest in seeing them again and really don't like any of their new stuff. Haven't for years now, there's just nothing there in my opinion.
If they headline next year I'll probably still go to Roo because I go mostly for the undercard anyway.
Coldplay - layered, delayed guitar. simple, approachable, catchy melodies/hooks. positive messages that can pull in even the most uptight of soccer moms. you can find them on the world's worst top 40 stations or headlining "hip" music festivals :: U2

Coldplay has in no way ever improved upon anything U2 has ever done. Comparing them at respective points in their career, U2 had already re-invented themselves 3 times with 3 separate hit albums 14 years into their career.
