Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Screw you all, Coldplay at Bonnaroo would be awesome. I saw them a couple years ago in Boston, but I almost didn't go because I thought it would be too heavy on Mylo Xyloto. I was surprised how energetic they were. They're doing a one-off show at a nightclub(!) here next month - I tried for tickets, but it was not destined to be.
I can get the U2 comparisons, but comparisons only go so far. They each cover a lot of ground that the other doesn't.
Saw them in 2003 (Elton John came onstage and did "Trouble") and it was a pretty good show. That being said, I have no interest in seeing them again and really don't like any of their new stuff. Haven't for years now, there's just nothing there in my opinion.
If they headline next year I'll probably still go to Roo because I go mostly for the undercard anyway.
I was there! That was a great show. I haven't seen them since. I would see them at roo but there are lots of other bands that I would rather see.

So you fucked up?
I had my finger ready the instant they went on sale! I think it was more a matter of tens of thousands of people trying for 1600 tickets. I haven't seen anything like it since the LCD Soundsystem farewell show at MSG.
So much so that may be the first time in 5 years on this site that anyone has actually managed to piss me off with something they posted, no matter how obviously trollish it was....
oh well to each their own I guess.. but still... Just wrong...
Remember the last time LCD was headlining festivals? Yeah, I love them but me neither. Last time I checked they were pissed at coach for pre-headlining before Jay-Z. Oh and the always coveted Bonnaroo late night.
LCD was fantastic but they never reached the level Arcade has.

Know who has been a band for 10 years and headlines a lot of festivals and has a bunch of albums the sell a lot and are of consistent quality?

The Black Keys
Also Coldplay
Go take a nap for something, Jones.
It's so funny to me that you refuse to acknowledge Arcade Fire as a premium player - solely because you think Win is an asshole.
LCD Soundsystem Kanye West Jack White/White Stripes .... Coldplay
BAND, Horn. Kanye is excluded here.
What are LCD and WS up to these days?
Give AF two more albums to catch up to the White Stripes and then if they are still together despite the massive ego of that band, I will concede this point to you.
LCD's a great band... but definitely no Arcade Fire.
Pearl Jam, Interpol, DMB, RHCP, The National, Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys... I can't think of a single band comparable to Radiohead or Arcade Fire in the past decade. jmo.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

I like AF as much as the next festival snob, but they're not in the Radiohead tier of impact and influence. They're in the next tier below, along with acts like The Killers, Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys (outside of the US), Muse, and, unfortunately, Coldplay.
