Has anyone ever been to Electric Picnic or End Of The Road fest? I'll be in the UK during both of these, and will likely hit whichever has the better lineup, but would love to hear from anyone who has been before.

It all really depends on taste. I've never been but Electric Picnic is more to my liking.

Haven't been to either, but End of the Road has an excellent reputation in terms of curation and crowd.
Has anybody seen the absolutely stacked rock werchter lineup so far?
Werchter's known for that. Check out some of their past editions such as from 2006 through 2010. Though people i know tell me the experience has been going downhill.
Been to Roskilde, loved it. It's a gigantic sprawl of a festival like nothing I had ever experienced before and easy to get lost. It's expensive as hell just because it's Denmark and everything is expensive there, but I'd highly recommend it. It's a good 30-45 minutes outside Copenhagen so I'd either stay there or prepare for some long days getting there and back (I did that and wish I had just bought one of those on-site campsites)
How much of a hassle was staying offsite? I'm considering Roskilde but it looks like the pre-made campsites are sold out. I'm not going to be able to travel with gear and I'm not crazy about the idea of purchasing stuff there and dealing with it afterwards.
Granted it's been a long time since I attended (2006), but it was pretty easy. You take a train from Copenhagen central (if you're staying there) and that zooms you out to Roskilde in about 30-45 minutes. From there, they had a direct smaller train that took us out to the site. That stopped running at a certain time though, so if you stayed late you had to take one of the shuttle buses back to Copenhagen or catch a cab. We did the shuttle bus back and it was no problem once you figured out where to go.
They sold beer by the half dozen at that time (don't know if they still do this), so it was definitely good to figure out where you were going before you started imbibing.

Terrible font choice, but awesome lineup. Depeche Mode, Belle and Sebastian, Goldfrapp, John Lydon (does he have solo stuff that isn't PiL?), Ride, The Pastels and that's not even including the more current acts.
