Oh fucknuts! Guest camping?!? I don't think that's accessible for us. Maybe we should start writing strongly worded emails now. Someone start a thread. I want my Cochon de Lait po boy and red beans goddammit!
Its not past quite yet. We got till the end of June.
We did have a late start to the season this year... I was told second week of June they tend to start being kinda tough
There is no "official" dates for crawfish season. Weather dictates when it starts and ends. It did start late due to the really harsh winter we had and its been super rainy which helps to prolong the season. I will eat crawfish until I get a batch that is super hard to peel and they are too tiny for me to waste my time peeling. I have not had this happen yet and just had crawfish last weekend. If Shaggy is boilin, I promise you, they are NOT going to be hard, small and gross.
Where are these food trucks supposed to be at Roo? Scattered around the farm or in one particular area?
anybody know if jambalaya will be available this year at Roo? I love that stuff!
Also there was a local bbq restaurant that had a spot in the back field of the main what stage... Are they going to be here again? Their sauces are really good.

Food vendors are everywhere. Food trucks are all in the Food Truck Oasis which is between the Other and This.
And yes, Prater's is going to be there. BBQ and sweet tea ftmfw

Question for my fellow inforoosters
For the last several years me and my buddies have thoroughly enjoyed a 3-meat sampler plate with blackened chicken, andouille sausage, etc at a vendor between the Ferris Wheel and That Tent. I believe this would be considered the Centeroo North location. It's a big $12-$13 plate with rice, hot sauce, cheese, onions, the whole shabang. It's a delicious, spicy mess. It's a legend among my friends...
Anyway I'm pretty sure the name of the vendor was "Bayou Billy" does that sound accurate? it's possible I have the name wrong. But I didn't see anything on the vendor list to indicate this plate would be this year and I'm freaking out. I have to have it. It's one of the main daytime highlights for me at Roo. Can anyone tell me if I have the vendor wrong, or if maybe this particular vendor got moved to a different section??
