Let's see those lists
1. Neutral Milk Hotel- holy shit. Best show I've ever been to in my life. Cried like a baby when they played Aeroplane and Song Against Sex
2. Damon Albarn- absolutely incredible. Great setlist, pretty good crowd. The Everyday Robots songs translated very well live. Plus he bright out De La Soul and Del for Feel Good and Clint Eastwood. I was second row in the pit, it was a blast
3. Deafheaven- wow. The instrumentals were incredible live and George was beyond strange, but his presence was haunting and perfect. When he was in the crowd I was holding his head.
4. Kanye West- Yeezy absolutely brought it. Wasn't a huge fan of the setlist, but the songs he did were phenomenal. I loved the stage setup too. Plus he plays All Falls Down AND Touch the Sky! That was so damn great
5. Cloud Nothings- such a crazy show. They nearly played everything off of their last two albums, and they were all fantastic. The whole show was a giant mosh pit. I'm Not Part of Me might have been my favorite song of the entire festival. And for them to close with No Future/No Past, woooooooooooow
6. The Orwells- chipped my tooth at this set. Wildest set I have ever been to in my life. The frontman was so reckless it was fantastic. People were climbing on top of the Miller Light Longue, stage diving, crowd surfing, moshing, and that cover of Cheap Beer was a highlight of the weekend.
7. Jack White- he melted my face off. I was in the pit and it was so loud. Steady as She Goes and Hotel Yorba were my favorite songs of the set, but left half way through the encore to get to late nights.
8. James Blake- he was beyond incredible. He can sing, and the production was fantastic. Those random covers were great, and a good mix of the s/t and Overgrown. I'd love to see him again in a more intimate setting
9. Frank Ocean- the set was kind of short, and he didn't have a live band, but man can this guy sing. I got to hear most of the songs I wanted to. The crowd for this was really great, everyone was singing along and was really into it.
10. Danny Brown- wild. Danny brown is one of my favorite people on earth. The material was great, and the fact that he bright A-Track to DJ was awesome.
Darkside would've been on here if I wasn't laying down the whole set, but listening to it was absolutely beautiful

I was basically absent from all of the headliners(skipped kanye, only stayed for 30 minutes of Jack, slept through Elton in the what field) so take my list with a grain of salt.
1. Little Dragon 2. Skrillex Super Jam 3. Cut Copy 4. Chance the Rapper 5. Chromeo 6. Kaskade 7. Jack White(probably would have been top 3 if I stayed more than 30 minutes. Man what an opener to a set) 8. GOAT 9. Warpaint 10. Robert Delong Silent Disco Set

Lily and the Parlour Tricks were fucking awesome! Love those Roo shows you stumble upon without ever hearing of the artist before and it ends up being in your top 10 list! She will be on mine whenever I get around to making it!

01. Damon Albarn - I knew this was going to be beautiful and amazing. I DIDN'T know they would bring out De La Soul and Del. I also knew that I would be able to easily get into the pit, but I DIDN'T know it would be so roomy in that pit that I'd have room to throw down my blanket in the back and dance freely. I was running laps around my friends and other people in excitement when Del came out.
02. The Flaming Lips - At the last minute, I decided against Nick Cave just on a feeling I had in my gut, and I am absolutely glad that I did. They have completely removed everything about their set that may seem derivative and rehashed. THEY OPENED WITH THE ABANDONED HOSPITAL SHIP FROM CLOUDS TASTE METALLIC! They threw a balloon into the crowd that said "Fuck Yeah Roo." They changed up the arrangement of a lot their songs. They legitimately wanted to know "Where da Press at?" THEY PLAYED A SPOONFUL WEIGHS A TON! THEY BARELY TOUCHED EMBRYONIC OR THE TERROR IN THEIR SETLIST! This was my 4th time seeing them live, and despite the lack of spectacle it was hands down the best I've EVER seen them.
03. Cloud Nothings - That feel, man. That feel.
04. Disclosure - When they brought Sam Smith on stage for Latch, that's the loudest I've heard a crowd go all week.
05. Elton John - Godspeed, Buzz Lightyear. Also FUCKING BEN FOLDS HOLY SHIT WHAT!?
06. Neutral Milk Hotel - This was my third time seeing them, and this is the most I've seen them AND the crowd get into the show. I could tell Jeff Mangum was super appreciative of the crowd, like he may have been kind of tired of touring and some of his crowds on tour. He, like a bunch of other artists this weekend, told us this was his favorite crowd he's played in front of.
07. Cake - Absolutely fun. This was some of the absolute best stage banter I've heard at a live show.
08. Darkside - That goddamn mirror is entrancing. It was a shame how not packed this show was, and Kaskade was bleeding into the tent heavily, but it was still an amazing set.
09. Goat - Best stage presence I've seen from performers this weekend. Those vocalists were going to town with their dancing and their tambourines! And Goat just absolutely killed it on all levels.
10. Thao and the Get Down Stay Down - Biggest surprise discovery of the weekend. I absolutely loved Thao's stage presence and her music. That's the first discography I'm going to dig into post-Roo.

HM: Jack White, Lionel Richie, James Blake, Drive by truckers, Zedd
I've seen Flaming Lips about ten times and told myself I wasnt interested. Same stuff, different day. Until this show. I'm sorry for you if you missed it. Just. Wow.
PS I love Kanye's music. Have seen him 4 times including the 2008 debacle. Worst show of the weekend, and one of the worst I've ever seen. The set had no flow, the rants were equal parts jarring to the set and megalomaniacal. I was pumped for his show, but what a let down, and looking at his recent set lists, he downright snubbed the festival.

1. DakhaBrakha - Unbelievably good; lots of hand-drumming, chanting, accordion, & cello. Small but voracious crowd that was eager to dance and gave the band such loud and long applause after each song that the musicians were visibly moved. The cello player spent one song rapping in Russian while playing her cello.
2. Goat - Just what I had been hoping for: psychedelic, loud, & dance-able. Stood with a crowd of Inforoo folks and danced my ass off.
3. Darkside - Woke up at 2 AM after shaking a terrible headache, chugged a beer and ran down to Darkside. The sound was fantastic and of course they had a great light show. I love how they can start a slow burn, build it up, almost peak, then ease up for a few minutes, then WHAM!
4. King Khan & the Shrines - Probably the most fun show I saw, like listening to James Brown with the punk knob turned up. Lots of crowd interaction and dirty jokes.
5. Mastodon - Best Mastodon show I've ever seen! They played a lot off of Leviathan & Blood Mountain I had never seen them do before.
6. Chromeo - The only Which Stage show I went to where the sound didn't suck. Great to see them own a stage crowd, and it was a perfect sunset show.
7. Skinny Lister - Went here on a suggestion of a camp-mate and wow!!! Drinking with the crowd, crowd-surfing with instruments. Just great.
8. Cloud Nothings - After what I felt to be an underwhelming Real Estate set, Cloud Nothings started my Thursday night off right. Been listening to a lot of Here and Nowhere Else before Roo so I loved getting to see these guys live.
9. White Denim - Started 7 minutes early, a Bonnaroo rarity. The technical abilities of this band are only topped by folks like Umphrey's.
10. Elton John - The only What Stage show I caught all festival. We were WAYYY in the back but the sound was great and I loved the song selection & his onstage behavior. Not quite as great as Paul last year, but pretty great.
1. Neutral Milk Hotel 2. Jack White 3. Frank Ocean 4. Phosphorescent 5. Kanye West 6. Elton John 7. Janelle Monae 8. Damon Albarn 9. Jake Bugg 10. Lauryn Hill (even though she was 45 minutes late... she rocked the place)**
Arctic Monkeys were great, too.
L Boogie was only 45 minutes late because the John Butler Trio was 20 minutes late, and then went over their rescheduled time by 15 minutes.

Arctic Monkeys were great, too.
L Boogie was only 45 minutes late because the John Butler Trio was 20 minutes late, and then went over their rescheduled time by 15 minutes.
And jbt was late because Bobby Womack's microphones went haywire during soundcheck. He came on 20 minutes late.
1) Kanye West - The energy in the pit was INSANE. I loved the production and the sense of minimalism and performance art that was built into the lighting and the screen. Regarding the rants, it's Kanye, what did you expect? And can we really argue his number one rock star comment? A rock star is as much a part of pop culture as their artistic integrity. Who else at Roo, outside of Elton John would you call a household name rock star?
2) Cut/Copy - Absolutely brought it!
3) Kaskade - My fav EDM set of the weekend, his flow was great, the production was big and he kept everyone dancing. That Foo Fighters remix was great!
4) Janelle Monae - She sang and danced her ass off. Her band was tight and the set list was perfect.
5) Fitz & The Tantrums - Probably the hottest set of the weekend, not a huge crowd at Which but I felt like they had everyone up and moving.
6) A Tribe Called Red - Randomly stumbled across this set, high energy EDM with a world-flavor. The crowd was hyped at this show.
7) Chromeo (DJ set) - Only about 75 people were at this set at the Robe Rage but Chromeo threw the fuck down. Funky as hell and had the crowd loving it.
8) Skrillex (Kalliope set) - A deep house set at 630am on the Kalliope stage for about 1000 people...fucking awesome!
9) Elton John - On point but a little disappointed with the short set compared to his solo headlining shows.
10) Cherub - Really fun set on Thursday, they had a huge crowd and we're generally excited to be at Roo.

1. Darkside - Was somewhere 10-15 rows deep and dead center, right in the middle of the fuckin' vortex that was Roo 2014. HOLY FUCK! Darkside was next level! 2. Ty Segall - Incredibly intense while beautiful at the same time. Craziest Thursday show I've ever been a part of. There is something special about this guy. 3. Nick Motherfuckin' Cave & the Bad Seeds - Left Jack early and got a really good spot. Nuff said. 4. Damon Albarn -Strolled into the pit and got Del and De La Soul!! I was truly blown away! The Everyday Robots stuff was great as well. 5. Neutral Milk Hotel - One of the best crowds I've ever been a part of. 6. Cake - Hilarious banter and a great setlist. Got in the back of the pit for a great crowd participation show. 7. Goat - They absolutely killed it. 8. James Blake - Amazing, but would have been better if people weren't talking so much during the quieter parts. 9. Chromeo - Got 3rd straight pit after Cake and Damon. They sound so good live. 10. Elton John - Got 8th row on the left side straight in front of Elton… And this was only my 10th best show. Holy Fuckballs! Well Done Bonnaroo.
1. Jack White - Best show I've ever seen. Pit spot and the energy in there was unlike anything I've experienced. Only topped Macca's set from last year because of the energy from both the stage and the pit. Just incredible.
2. Cake - Hilarious, nostalgic and I danced my butt off
3. Janelle Monae - Almost went to Andrew Bird, but wanted to keep my spot for Vampire Weekend. Glad I did. Also danced my butt off.
4. St Paul - That white boy has some soul.
5. White Denim - I don't think a single word was said to the crowd, but boy did they tear the stage up.
6. ZZ Ward - That white girl has some soul. Also, her band was incredible. Great set from someone who I had only heard a few times.
7. Avett - Got in their pit line when I got shut out of the Arctic Monkeys pit. Great show and a lot of energy all over the stage.
8. Lake Street Dive - Maybe my favorite voice on the lineup.
9. Lionel Richie - Not a huge fan or even that nostalgic of his music, but had an incredible time while in Jack's pit line.
10. Vampire Weekend - Pretty standard show, but seeing those songs for the first time was a pleasure.
#1) Skrillex Superjam. Not even a debate in my mind here. By and far the best Superjam that Bonnaroo has ever put on, I couldn't believe what was even happening for a majority of the set. I was also on the rail for this, so I could understand it not making a top ten for someone in the back of the crowd, but totally worth skipping Jack White for IMO.
#2) Neutral Milk Hotel. Great crowd, great setlist (bookended by Two Headed Boy parts 1 and 2), one of the most emotional experiences I've ever had. Can't ask for anything more, second best set that I've ever seen at Bonnaroo.
#3) James Blake. Was originally planning on seeing Cut/Copy, so glad that I didn't. Heaviest bass that I heard all weekend, and the dude started off with CMYK. A lot of great jamming off of the songs and the crowd was a lot more into the set than I expected they would be.
#4) Disclosure. Even better than when I saw them in January, being front row helped push this set up higher than I'm sure it would've been if I was in the back. They deserve their place at the top of the deep house game.
#5) Chance the Rapper. So much better live than on the album, the reworked version of Cocoa Butter Kisses was outstanding. Great stage presence and crowd banter, and he played the Arthur cover.
#6) Banks. I felt like she was at her best Thursday night, but it was essentially what I expected. Not that that's a bad thing whatsoever.
#7) Warpaint. Absolutely love this band, their drummer is incredibly tight, the songwriting is great, it was exactly what I needed in a Sunday afternoon set. And they're all gorgeous.
#8 & 9) Grouplove and Danny Brown. Both of these shows had so much energy, great setlists and performances.
#10) Elton John. Amazing performance, and wish that I could put this higher on the list, but this year was all about the smaller shows for me. Was really, really hoping for at least one Lion King song. That would've shot this up to #3, but alas.....
I didn't see a single set at Which or What until Broken Bells, so my list is probably a lot different than most will be. Managed to be no further back than three rows of people from the rail for any show though, felt like a very different Bonnaroo than I'm used to - in a good way. The acts this year were on a different level, easily the best Bonnaroo that I've been to.
