Intresting thread. Bjork was close IMO. Tough to really say on Fleetwood Mac as I assume many would consider that a group and not a "Female Headliner". There are quite a few bigger acts we have not yet had on the farm (Dolly comes to mind as does P!nk or even Carol King).

How do we qualify the term "Female Headliner"? Do we disregard bands who have played with a female occasionally taking lead in the group (i.e. Arcade Fire)? Would Fleetwood Mac qualify because of Stevie Nicks? What about No Doubt? Also, do we disqualify Bjork since she was not a proper headliner?
Yea, I think in terms of this thread we're mostly talking about solo acts but others have mentioned No Doubt and Fleetwood Mac so I guess there's some wiggle room. Also, yes, we disqualify Bjork from being a headliner because as you say she was not a headliner.
She's not at that level yet and I'm not sure that she will reach it but St. Vincent would be awesome one year.
I just fantasized about St. Vincent->Fleetwood Mac on the What.

Another name that hasn't come up yet is Yeah Yeah Yeah's, but I'm not all that surprised. They were verging on headliner status in '09, but their last album was a little disappointing and they haven't toured much in the past few years.

If we're referring to a solo performing female artist, the only one I'd care to see (again) is Beyonce. Other candidates include Lady Gaga, Madonna, and, god help us, Miley Cyrus Ft. The Flaming Lips.

I used to love Alicia Keys so much, but her music and voice have steadily declined in quality ever since her first two albums. It's been a steady downward trajectory since then; makes me sad.

You're appearing less smart with each post. "Don't read it then" and "my opinion is what everyone else believes, I'm just brave enough to say it" and anything similar to "you mad?", "butthurt" or "wahhhh" are among the weakest comebacks there are. Oh and "whatever" - but you didn't use that one.

haha right on. I'm sure anyone who made it in the pit for that show has no regrets. This year was the first time I didn't go in the pit for any of the headliners, kinda regret it.
