Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Big Ears friends and fans, we’re very sad to report that Harold Budd will no longer be able to join us at this year’s festival, due to a fall a few days ago in which he broke several ribs. We will certainly miss him at the festival,
Boo. Get well soon, Harold.
Alright, well I guess that means I'm going to Ben Frost after Grouper. You twisted my arm, Big Ears... Although I wish Harold didn't have to break bones for it to happen..
Hey loves. I'll be in Knoxville tomorrow night for dinner with the fella and then postering. If any of y'all get in tomorrow night, let me know and we can grab a pre-fest drink!
I'll be getting in around midnight tomorrow night.
I was thinking the other day that Gira could be an option. That's not too far out of the realm of possibility, right? I, too, would probably throw out my schedule if that was the case. Weren't we looking at Sunday afternoon as being a good time for the secret show?

Tennessee is still open till 6:30 after the schedule changes. I'm hoping something goes there.
Also: If anyone is seeing Rachel Grimes, Loscil apparently plays on The Clearing album that's about to drop. I'm half ass expecting to hear he came out with her.
Friday Knoxville Museum of Art -> Big Ears Kick-Off -> Nosaj Thing -> Riley Walker -> HIVE -> Clark -> Jamie xx or Demdike Stare
Saturday Spark of Being -> SQURL -> A Winged Victory For The Sullen -> Nels Cline & Norton Wisdom -> Beyond Zero or Holly Herndon -> Laurie Anderson/Kronos -> William Tyler -> Max Richter -> some of Bing & Ruth -> Grouper -> Ben Frost -> Tyondai Braxton DJ
Sunday Eraserhead or Panel -> Bing & Ruth -> Decasia or Kronos -> Terry Riley -> Bill Frisell & Bill Morrison -> Silver Apples -> Max Richter -> Swans or Kronos/Nels
Friday: (Depending on when we get up there) Rival Consoles > The Bad Plus > Ryley Walker > HIVE > Clark > Demdike Stare
Saturday: SQURL > Kronos: Folk Songs > AWVFTS > Nels Cline & Norton Wisdom > Laurie Anderson & Kronos > Max Richter > Tune-Yards > Sam Amidon > Ben Frost
Sunday: Eraserhead or Tech Panel > Bing & Ruth > Kronos w/ Tanya Tagaq and Bryce Dessner or Terry Riley > Perfume Genius > Max Richter > Swans
Sunday afternoon is really the only one I'm having trouble deciding on. I'd like to see Kronos as much as possible, and those two performance do sound like they'll be pretty great, but I really love what I've listened to by Terry Riley. Admittedly, I've only listened to the really major stuff (In C, etc.), as I only started listening to him when he was announced for the festival this year. The rest is pretty much rock solid though, although that secret show could really throw it off.

If you wanna be pragmatic, Terry Riley is 79 years old. He only has so many performances left in him.
Today is going to be long. Today's the day before Spring Break for my school, and everybody (including the other teachers) are ready to get out of here. Having this to look forward to has me looking forward to the end of the day more than most, I think.
