This is a list of bands that are all currently touring, that aren't booked elsewhere. Granted, that doesn't mean a whole lot, since many bands are still working out their summer tour schedules:

i know a while back there was an email going around saying lorde would be doing some us festivals.. since she hasn't popped up yet, wondering if she'll do roo and firefly

Any 3 of The War on Drugs, The Decemberists, Modest Mouse, MMJ, or Spoon would sell me on a ticket.
Anyone else feel like we're a lock for Run the Jewels? FF never seems to miss out on hip hop artists heavily hitting the circuit (Kendrick in 2013, OutKast/Chance/Gambino last year). I think they'd be a solid get and I'd probably go see them, but I feel like they're overrated, especially by the Inforoo community.

Coachella booked Run the Jewels, which is promising.
i think RTJ is gonna be everywhere like Chance was last year. Fully expect RTJ to be added to Hangout next month and they are gonna be announced for Roo tonight. I saw them at Fun Fun Fun and they are not overrated in anyway, they put on one of the better shows. Modest Mouse on the other hand disappointed so i hope firefly does get them so i can give them another shot potentially and with the new album set to come out they seem like a good possibility.

i have heard the same. i missed them at last years at hangout but if you ask anyone that went to it they will tell you its one of the best shows every played at hanngout. I really love their music so i kinda hope FF got them and scheduled em on the same day as Macca or whatever big headliner they get
Thoughts on Roo? To me it's a giant eh. Don't think it's out of the question for FF to exceed it.
The Roo lineup didn't blow me away, but I also don't know which band/artists they could add to the list this year to do that. It just seems like a bit of an off year for festivals as a whole, but overall I must say the undercard was better than expected. It saved the headliners.
I was not that impressed with the lineup. I must admit some of the undercards are awesome. Just hoping that Firefly has the best headliners out of all the festivals because so far I am not impressed.

well judging by how the headliners for every other festival have been predicted... hoping #3 is amazing!
It's definitely a big step down from recent years. With the Coachella, Gov Ball, Hangout, and Roo lineups out, I think it's safe to say that this year is going to be a relatively weak lineup year for festivals. I'm curious to see what Firefly will put together.
Firefly has a lot of potential to be the top festival. They must be withholding something big. If they had a decent lineup they would have dropped hints or the lineup now.

I don't understand why they're waiting though. IMO Hangout has put out the best lineup so far, but it didn't blow me away. I believe Firefly has put out a good lineup two years in a row...hopefully the keep the ball rolling.

Agree entirely. Hangout didn't drop my jaw but it's well clear of Roo and Gov Ball IMO

I respectfully disagree. I think Hangout has the weakest of the three by far.
Hangout definitely the weakest of those three.
Aside from a handful of acts that Roo didnt get (Beck, TVOTR, Future Islands). Hangout doesn't really offer up anything too exciting at all. Paramore is #7 ?!?
