Firefly definitely has the potential to steal some thunder here though.
Killers would be weak mainly because they headlined 3 years ago and their only release since then didnt really set the world on fire. How much different can their set really be?
I'm just hoping that headliners are not DMB/Killers/KOL. That would make me sell my ticket.
Im worried too, DMB summer tour is has a gap conveniently located to make it true. I don't think they are big enough to warrant Launchpad to hype them up. Actually Launchpad can you deny that its them pleaseeee.

dmb usually has some sort of gap in their dates. i wouldn't count on them being there

Its a shame they couldn't get Jack White if they did have a repeater. Macca or Springsteen/Jack White/KoL would be unbelievable although completely unrealistic, I still somehow can't see Jack White eating up too much more budget than The Killers.
I respectfully disagree. I think Hangout has the weakest of the three by far.
Hangout definitely the weakest of those three.
Aside from a handful of acts that Roo didnt get (Beck, TVOTR, Future Islands). Hangout doesn't really offer up anything too exciting at all. Paramore is #7 ?!?
Couldn't disagree more. Foo, Beck, Skrillex, Major Lazer, Lupe (granted way too late but I'd go just to say I saw him), Beats Antique, Galactic, Dirty Heads, Damien Marley.... loving ALL of that.

Then we'll just have to leave it to a difference in taste. I can't get excited for a lineup that rounds out the top 10 with the likes of Paramore and Major Lazer. As well as Krewella and Dirty Heads taking up the top 20.
Ive seen Galactic plenty and will always enjoy a set, but Im not gonna necessarily get super excited with the booking. And while I'll give you Foo and Beck, I would expect them more in a lineup where Beck is Pre-headlining for Foo Fighters. As much as I love Beck, he played the second stage at Firefly last year, pre-headlining.
I just wonder when firefly will release something about that lineup such as the scavenger hunt this year. I still doubt that both KOL and the Killers will be there.
Must See 2018 List: 1. Drake 2. The Cure 3. David Byrne 4. King Krule 5. Moses Sumney 6. Dua Lipa 7. Mount Kimbie 8. Perfume Genius 9. Yaeji 10. Big Thief

While they do have a song with "run" in the title, that song isn't "famous."

It's actually not convenient for Firefly (from a financial standpoint) when you consider that DMB is booked for two shows in Camden, NJ, within a week of Firefly.

My God you are really good at these hints, it could be either Macca or Springsteen efff.

Instead of asking Launchpad to just give away hints, you guys could try asking carefully worded questions about the "mystery" 3rd headliner. It sounds like most of you have narrowed it down to Springsteen and McCartney anyway.
Been lurking in this thread since the Paul rumors started. If he is indeed the third headliner I may try to swing making it up North this year. Can anybody who travels from far outside the area give me any info on where to stay, what to expect, anything I should know? Anything's helpful.
Launchpad has made it fairly clear the #1 act is not DMB, and there is no way Dave comes unless he is a headliner.
His hint points to The Boss, and it makes sense. Bruce's high-school is only about two hours away from Dover, one of his hit songs is about Philly...which is only 90 minutes or so from Dover. Springsteen - The Killers - KoL. Not a bad set of headliners...don't blow me away, but it intrigues me.

They have on-site camping for an additional fee. I don't know what the fee for a camping pass was last year, but in 2013 it was roughly $150 per spot, and they allowed a maximum of 5 people per spot. There are hotels/motels nearby, but if you're going for the full weekend, a camping pass will probably be the cheapest option.

Camping isn't included? Yikes. Still beats paying for a hotel for 4-5 days I suppose.

If you can fill a site with 5 people, it works out to about $6 per person per night. Hard to argue IMO.
