Must See 2018 List: 1. Drake 2. The Cure 3. David Byrne 4. King Krule 5. Moses Sumney 6. Dua Lipa 7. Mount Kimbie 8. Perfume Genius 9. Yaeji 10. Big Thief
Didn't really consider stuff from Wings, i was thinking more on the line of "Hey Jude", "All You Need is Love", "Come Together", "Let it Be", etc.
Fair enough.
Side note for anybody that has been before, would you recommend camping or getting a hotel? I know camping is extra, and the Comfort Inn looks to be in walking distance and is not that expensive (especially since i would have 3 or 4 to split with). I looked into book a room, but they wasn't taking any reservation for any night in the month of June.

Hotels in the area have been sold out since last year. Wesley college (pretty sure that's the name) rents out rooms and there's a few houses right next door that offer camping spots
Saw Macca at National Stadium in DC 2 summers ago and woah what a show. It was like a 35 song set and darn did he completely kill it. I would go to Firefly in an instant over any other fest if he headlines! Thanks Infinitypass!

If anyone is still questioning infinitypass you are a quacking idiot, he couldn't have said it much clearer in the context of the thread. McCartneys innnnnnn

Paul McCartney * Kings of Leon * The Killers * Kendrick Lamar Skrillex * Lorde * My Morning Jacket * Death Cab For Cutie * J. Cole Alabama Shakes * Passion Pit * Hozier * Flume * The Decemberists * Nas Spoon * Belle & Sebastian * Tame Impala * Chromeo * Of Monsters And Men TV On The Radio * Porter Robinson * St. Vincent * HAIM * Fitz & The Tantrums
Someone stop me if I'm wrong... what part of this criteria does Paul meet that Jay-Z doesn't? For my money it's 50/50 right now, I think Jay is being seriously slept upon here. FF proved last year if the talent is right they'll throw in a hip-hop headliner, and it would make the festival more universally appealing. Either is a complete win though.

I would love Kendrick Lamar to finish of that top line! That would definitely make this an unbeatable set of headliners!

I think you're the only one who thinks Jay-Z is one of the possibilities... and infinitypass has been responding to the Bruce/Paul discussion, not the Bruce/Paul/Jay discussion that you've kinda been alone in.

Infinitypass has said only it's a huge singular male act and that act has "run" in one of their biggest song titles. I can't see how that would make Paul/Jay-Z more than equal at this point. Until I'm told otherwise I'm rolling with the possibility of Jay-Z being the 3rd.

Im worried too, DMB summer tour is has a gap conveniently located to make it true. I don't think they are big enough to warrant Launchpad to hype them up. Actually Launchpad can you deny that its them pleaseeee.
While they do have a song with "run" in the title, that song isn't "famous."

no.
Thank you for taking the time to post such an insightful and constructive comment. One of many from you. Keep up the good work.

Is this legitimate? This would be incredible.
Nah, just a combination of speculation and wishful thinking. Looking at other festival lineups, it's probably too much. Maybe bump up Skrillex to 4th, replace Kendrick with The Weeknd, and slot The Weeknd in at 6th/7th. Also not too confident about MMJ. It looks like they'll be playing a handful of U.S. festivals this summer, but Firefly has never really had much of a jam band presence. MMJ would be a great icebreaker because they have crossover appeal, but maybe I should replace them with The Avett Brothers (Firefly loves to book folk/indie folk groups).

Thank you to the kind gents of Inforoo for the assist on the lineup. If Red Frog only showed the same mercy by dropping us a bone, but at least we have something to hold us over until then. I'd say that's a more than respectable top line in my book.

It looks like all signs pointing to Paul at this point. i doubt Jay-Z would headline firefly anyway considering his own festival Made in America is less than an hour away.

No i didn't.
You're right, that was Launchpad didn't mean to put words into your mouth. Anything to offer on my theory though?
EDIT: Didn't see Launchpad's post. Accepting a Paul as the 3rd.

i cant see how one song together is gonna make anyone want to book them together for it. You dont want Kanye at Firefly he keeps getting worse live from what i have seen. He was terrible at Made In America last year and half the people left before he ended
