To sum up everyone's posts- I had a great time and there was great music but f you firefly cause water and vibes
I get the water situation was less than ideal but most of the other complaints are just to complain because you have to compare everything to Bonnaroo. Don't get me wrong Bonnaroo is still #1 in my books too but if you think the "vibes" aren't changing there too you're ignorant. It's going to continue to change every year as more of the younger generation start attending festivals and as we all get older our festival/life priorities change.
Not to mention the folks/police actually seem to welcome you in Dover where in Tennessee they see it as a revenue and arrest opportunity.

It's simple, they needed more water stations. That's all. Most other complaints just seem like people going out of there way cause it's not Roo. Bonnaroo is great, prob to this day the best experience I have had at a festival...but it has it's cons as well.
Hey I love Roo but I agree its has its flaws. i always compare the two as they are the only 2 festivals I have attended. Last year at FF I was singing its praises. This year was a bad year. If the lineup is killer I may be back. I do VIP at Roo and that hits my wallet pretty good so that is a factor. If FF fixes its logistics problems and uses Goldenvoice help then the festival will continue to get better. Vibes are vibes and they wont tend to change rapidly. My main problem with the vibe is that I am there for a music festival and a music experience. Half of the crowd was there to listen to music while the other half seemed to only want to talk and drink beer. I don't know how that culture will change or if it will.
Maybe Firefly should donate the hundreds of thousands of dollars from $4 a bottle water sales to charity. Until then, it looks like what it was, a cynical cash grab that endangered attendees.
For the record, I posted a sincere response yesterday because I was asked to and rather than just disagree, you guys decided to rip me apart like jackals, with a bunch of silly name calling, etc so any negativity is on you guys. I've had good conversations with people on here before, but I guess they only stay constructive as long as everyone agrees with each other. Sad...

Also next year will be my first year not attendning Firefly unless the lineup is 9/10.
Anyone DVR anything? I don't get that channel unfortunately. Also, do we think that drone during Paul was from Red Frog or from Paul? I'm hoping not from RF because they had a ton of sweet drone footage last year that was only used for like 12 seconds in their after video. I want the whole video though that angle is great

If you want ammo just head over to the FB fan page, we have people asking for Matt & Kim, Zedd, 21 Pilots, Grouplove, Empire of the Sun, Black Keys, Bassnectar, Odesza, Fitz and a million other repeats for next year. While I enjoy some of those, my god are 95% of the people in that group (for lack of a better word) are morons.

I still can't understand the draw to Matt & Kim... I saw them once, open for Weezer on Halloween and I thought they were just awful. I like a total of three songs, the rest is literally just noise to me - cool they had a guy in a wheelchair crowd surfing but sheesh that's like self admitting that their music is terrible and they have to rely on amping a crowd up for people to enjoy their set.

They're an entertaining show, but seeing them once or twice is enough for me. I like some of their earlier songs ("Daylight", "Good 'ol Fashion Nightmare", "Cameras"), but their studio albums have consistently gone downhill since releasing Grand. Not that Grand was anything spectacular to begin with. New Glow is a serious candidate for worst album of 2015.

While I enjoy some of those, my god are 95% of the people in that group (for lack of a better word) are morons.
I am ok with Fitz, Grouplove and Bassnectar as I loved Grouplove and Fitz shows in the past. The others would be dumb moves. I felt that Cages set this year was somewhat lackluster compared to last year and felt it was because they repeated so quickly. Yeah the people that keep asking for those same tired shows are what help kill the vibe for me as well.
As far as Matt and Kim go they were atrocious!! Everything was so fake and was just done to get a reaction from the crowd. I'm sure the people up front had a blast as it looked like they did. But it was just too much shtick for me. This coming from a Twenty One Pilots fan I get it but still, there is a point of overboard and Matt and Kim hit it early and often for me.
Man, You guys really filleted Mike G huh? That was rough to watch, and frankly kind of embarrassing.
As for Matt and Kim, ill be a happy man if they are never on a line up at a festival that i am attending again. They are horrible. Especially Kim. Their set was like 1/3 original music 1/3 annoying covers, and 1/3 crowd antics. At one point Kim told everyone to grab something and throw it in the air, and it ended up mostly being trash. If they only told their followers to throw the trash in the receptacle instead of IN THE AIR, then maybe it would have been a tad cleaner.

Most of us... as in everyone but like two people... have civil exchanges with MikeG. We know more or less what he can answer and what he can't. He isn't an actual RedFrog employee. I think many seem to not know or understand that. Nevertheless he has been as helpful as he could be throughout the entire ordeal.

I wasn't at FF 2014, and it was my first time seeing Cage...but I thought they were pretty impressive. One of the largest crowds of the weekend, and didn't seem like anybody was bored.
Firefly will pick bands that the majority of those who attend enjoy, and will use them over and over. I fully expect Imagine Dragons and Passion Pit to be on next years lineup.
