Tuesdays are always real busy for me, and I didn't really read that many articles on the album, I really only looked extensively at the tour dates. Is this album supposed to be a concept album? Just looking at the titles of some of these tracks makes me think that is the case.
Where's everyone seeing that Nashville date? It's not listed on their site or on COS.
I promise it was on COS yesterday morning, but they've obviously edited it. I even commented on their FB page about it.
I'm guessing it's not on the list because they haven't established ticketing for the new venue.
Yeah, I didn't doubt anyone about it, but I wanted to make sure it was happening. The girlfriend and I are now planning on skipping Bonnaroo and doing five nights of MMJ this summer. The two nights in Columbus (we're both from Ohio and it'd be nice to see the folks) then the Nashville date and heading on down to Atlanta for two nights.
I can think of two reasons why the info was removed: 1) They're holding off on announcing the show until ticketing is established at the brand new venue 2) They're way behind on construction and may have to cancel/postpone the show.
Hoping it's the former, obviously. I checked the Moon Taxi FB page (they're the reported opener) and couldn't find any mention of it, either.
Either way, it sounds like a great plan. Even if you can't see the Jacket on the way to Atlanta, I'm sure you'll have fun here
I'm definitely hitting up the two shows in Columbus, in addition to the 'roo and Forecastle shows. They were on fire down in Mexico, so I have a good feeling about this tour!

I want to go to both cbus shows too! I find it so weird they are at Palace though. It's all indoor seated and I have such good memories of summer nights on the LC lawn.

What A night that was
That show is in my top ten favorite shows ever. Ending with steam engine. Ahhhh wish I could take a time machine back to that show!
That was also my good friends very first mmj show.
Hopefully they'll do a 3-night run at Capitol again or something later in the year.
I would expect more NYC announced after Gov's Ball, not sure if it will be on this leg though. It is sounding good for them at NFF though. Likely not announced until after Boston Calling.
SIGHHHHH... Boston Calling while I'm in New Orleans, and New Orleans after I'll most likely be moving north. Life isn't fair sometimes.
But that's why I'm committed to making Red Rocks happen.
You know what's not fair? MMJ don't tour Down Under very much because their following here is still more where it was in the US circa '06, '07 - and yet, they played one of my favourite venues, the world-famous Enmore Theatre, 9 months before I moved here. Wah wah.
Also also not fair? Since they play here so rarely, I would have also seen them at the gorgeous Palace Theatre in Melbourne, which is now being demolished for some generic luxury apartments . That's like wiping your ass with a Vermeer.
Also also also not fair? Not being able to make that Capitol Theatre run. Yes, I know it was over two years ago. Yes, I will still keep harping on this indefinitely. That's why I'm so committed to making OBH happen, and why I'm so jealous of all you Red Rocks folks. Victory dance extra hard for me, will ya?
