That was my only pit show and first time seeing MMJ and it blew my mind. I was in left line at the pit and I liked the fact that the Mumford fans were going crazy to get in line and us MMJ fans took control of our line and hopefully met a few of you made it an amazing experience.
My oh my what a show! Did not doubt it would be the highlight of my weekend as mmj were my selling point for roo this year. However, I did not anticipate such a power packed set! The boys friggin' killed it and I'm willing to bet this will be top 5 if not the best set of their tour.
Victory dance right as the sun was setting... 'In the evenings setting suuuuuuuun!' *mind blown*
I wasn't in the pit but I was right behind it, among a group of 50 or so people dancing/moshing/air guitaring in the sand behind the scaffolding in the middle of the field. My friend, Sam, who literally air guitared the entire day from Woods to Jamie xx (pretending to spin disks lol) to MMJ, made me laugh so hard that I cried when he did this epic knee slide during the middle of the set. I would have liked to be in the pit and I'm sure I could have walked in before the set but the rest of my group wanted to be set up with a blanket. What an amazing show, arguably the best What Stage show I've seen (right up there with Sir Paul and Radiohead).

Was in the sand right behind pit in front of Carl/the screen.
Glad to know I wasn't the only one dance/mosh/air guitar/singing! Lost my voice after the show from singing damn near every word...
I love to hear Jacket compared to Macca and Radiohead What Stage shows. Damn well worth the recognition.

This was my favorite show of the weekend. Yes, it was a festival-friendly set, but the band hit all the right notes from an energy and musicianship standpoint. My group of 10-plus people had a few people who were unfamiliar with their music, and those people also were blown away - like run out and buy the new album on vinyl blown away. As a longtime fan who saw the 2006 and 2008 LN's on the farm, I was happy to see them step into a big spot and hit a home run!
Yea, I left the pit shortly after Dondante to get a smoothie and hang out in the back of the field. I must have been dehydrated or something because I got such a bad knot in my calf that I could barely stand.

That's an acceptable reason. It was great looking back at the group and seeing how much everyone was enjoying the show.

If anyone is interested their is a recording up at archive.org/details/mmj2015-06-13 decent quality and not too bass heavy. Vocals lack in some spots, but overall a quality recording.
So, to those that saw them both in 2011 and this year at 'Roo, would you say this was a better set?
I've watched both sets on video and was there in 2011. I think 2015 was better. This is partially because I like The Waterfall a lot more than Circuital, but I also think the guys are playing with so much more intensity right now. I've already seen them twice this tour and will likely see then 3 or 4 more times before the end.
Of course, neither of these shows compare with the 2008 show.
