So are they def supposed to be putting out another album in 2016?
They've been saying since before The Waterfall came out that they would release two albums soon and I don't see them holding off until 2017 to release it. Nothing confirmed yet.
I don't think it's very likely they'd be back so soon in a top slot but it's possible there was some kind of deal talked about? Come do a two-hour set for Waterfall and play a headliner/late night set for the following album.
Getting my hopes up. Not expecting much just yet.
MMJ back to Roo this year would be great. Its the best place to turn all of your friends into MMJ fans.
I'm hoping for Roger Waters and MMJ to team up again for a Roo show. Jim said they were interested in doing more together and I can't think of a better place than Bonnaroo. But a LN set would be fucking fantastic

We really know how to get our hopes up around here, don't we?

Yep! No, honestly I'll be pretty surprised if they're at Roo again next year. Seems strange to me to have any act in the Top 10 two years in a row. I'm sure it's happened, but not in any recent years. If it's going to be any band, MMJ makes the most sense, but I just don't see them coming back. Or Roger Waters coming ever.

If Cappdog shows with a dump truck full of money to Waters' house...?

Got a great email today from global citizen telling me that I won 2 tickets for one of the beacon shows! Now the decision on if I should buy Wed tickets so I can go 3 times. How exciting it was to win though, doing a happy dance at work.

I'd love to have them back, though it surely won't happen, and this time, don't book Atomic Bomb at the same time. We planned on hitting two songs of Atomic Bomb and then head over (MMJ is one of my favorite live bands) but we just couldn't leave AB. Anyone else do this? We were still able to catch the last 20 of MMJ.

I went all in on MMJ and ended up very disappointed.

Bummer; I had a fantastic time. But that conflict was stupid.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I'm doing 3. First two and Saturday. I'm terrified of the stuff I'll miss Friday night. That's the one problem with them playing completely different setlists every night is that now I'm going to hear almost everything I want to but not quite.
But as long as I get these songs I should be fairly happy: Dondante I Will Sing You Songs Steam Engine Cobra It Beats 4 U In Its Infancy (The Waterfall) X-Mas Curtain Circuital At Dawn anything from The New Basement Tapes
A couple of my buddies bailed on Saturday night's show at Beacon Theater. I figured I'd see if anyone here was looking for tickets before I listed them.
PM me if interested.
Can't wait for some Jacket this week. Tuesday and Saturday nights for me.
Most of you going this week probably already saw this on Facebook, but I wanted to share this here.
They’re not looking at the Beacon run not as an end, but a party.
“The thing that’s fun for us with a run of shows like this is that we aren’t going to repeat any songs,” he says over the phone, calling in from his Kentucky home. “Every show will be completely different. It’s exciting to give the big fans a chance to hear songs they maybe never have. I also think we’re going to be able to play each song off of all our records.”

I can't stop thinking about these shows. Work is hard.
I legit think I have worked less than 10 minutes today. I didn't want to "waste" vacation time, but I think I am going to head out at noon. I can't sit here any longer.

First two shows have been fantastic. But Night 2 easily beats Night 1.
I requested "War Begun" "I Will Sing You Songs" and "Tropics" and got all 3 and all of them were phenomenal. I always forget that Touch Me Pt. 1 is a pretty cool song and Phone Went West is such a fucking powerhouse. "Wonderful" with Tim from Strand Of Oaks was great too.
Really happy that I caught "Circuital," "Xmas Curtain," and "In Its Infancy" last night. Not to mention their killer performance of "Dondante."
Getting to hear the New Basement Tapes stuff, and Jim and Carl's solo songs has been really nice too. Really happy with the setlists from both shows, but I'm still nervous about what I'll miss Friday.
Here's what I'm still hoping for on Saturday: Steam Engine Like a River Cobra It Beats 4 U Lay Low Run Thru Victory Dance Touch Me Pt. 2
For me night 1 is better than night 2 but I got a ton of stuff I wanted (including a duet with Strand of Oaks on Wonderful).
The jams on the longer songs did it for me tonight. Night 1 was still fantastic. Really I'm just super excited for Saturday. They're my best seats of the 3 I'm going to and it's the last show of the tour so I have to expect they'll lay complete waste to the Beacon Theatre.
Also on another note, MMJ requested no tapers for these shows. Could a live album be in the works?

Yea I loved the slow burn that was night 1. And it focused more on earlier albums too. No evil urges, and only couple off Circuital

Uh, you requested two songs frequently played and one song they play every so often. No surprises there you got them; it was a given they'd play those before you requested them. In fact, all of your wish list are gimmes.
Pretty jealous of everyone who saw night one. That's the type of set I wish they'd play more often.
