I had to add a few "less likely" artists to fill in all the blanks, but I suppose I'd be rather happy with this. (Would NOT be happy with all the conflicts though)

Lots of similarities! I like the use of the "free space" I can't stop thinking about how cool it would be to have Cat Stevens! Do you agree?

I never really got into his music, aside from a song or two. He would be cool to see though just because of who he is. I'd much rather have Van Morrison, Robert Plant, or (less likely) Paul Simon filling the "legacy" spot.
Love the bingo cards. I'd be thrilled for Cat Stevens. And everyone needs to put Brandi on the crd to will it to happen.
What I can not shake about these cards is there are wayyyy too many names on them that I know/have heard of. Historically, i am an active listener/know of a subset, and the rest are 'who's that?'. Quacker will say - you've heard them.. the song you would know is [fill in the blank] or we listen new together. The last few years it seems like NFF has been a full season ahead of the rest of the festies with the majority of the line up.

Wouldn't be surprised if NFF reaches out to the winner of NPR Music's Tiny Desk Contest. He sounds great, and the NPR connection makes it that much more obvious.

They Said In The Podcast That They Are Having A Artist That Played Jazz 2014 at this years Folk Fest...Wonder Who
There are so many possibilities there. Alabama Shakes, John Fogerty, Robert Plant, The Head and the Heart, Jason Isbell, Charles Bradley, and plenty others. I would guess it's probably not someone who's played Newport before though, which could suggest Fogerty or Plant. Or if they somehow got Springsteen...

Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Just got this e-mail blast. It's the upcoming Newport Folk Presents shows. I'd consider most of these possibilities. I'd personally love to see Buckwheat Zydeco again at the Fort.

Dr john is going to the Jazz fest this year though. Can't see him doing both...but I guess that might make sense because jay sweet was talking about bridging the fests

Actually, it would make less sense if it was Dr. John if he's playing NJF this year. He would have probably said in the podcast "There's an artist playing both the Folk and Jazz Fest this year" not "played Jazz last year and Folk this year".
