Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
With the final Bonnaroo clue pointing towards Robert Plant, it got me thinking, could he headline Newport this year? I've seen him three times (twice in 2011 and then again this September), and his new material could definitely fit in with the folk fans. Plus we know he's down to play outdoor festivals and he's not to concerned on a big paycheck. I would be 100% a-okay with this.
Baring in mind I do not consume any thing 'altering' beyond alcohol, the 'highest' (sober) I've ever been in relation to music was Robert Plant and the band of joy at Roo. I would be 1000X ok with this.

Deer Tick is out for this year, but looks like they will still do the after shows.
McCauley:
". I love Newport, I have been going since I was a kid [when I saw Los Lobos, featuring current Diamond Ruggs band member and past Deer Tick producer Steve Berlin]. I wish I got to spend more time at the festival this year. Unfortunately, really, I was mostly in downtown Newport for our annual after-party thing at Newport Blues. We had more guests than usual this year so we spent a lot of time rehearsing during the afternoons. I’m looking forward to going this year because this year we’re not playing. I think we’re still going to our after-party things but it’ll be way more laid back for us this year so looking forward to that."

Yea, I've read them say they are taking a break from touring/shows for part of next year. Could definitely see some Diamond Rugs, Middle Brother, and/or McCauley and Friends sets as after shows though.
How often does Newport share artists with Floydfest? They have a couple acts that I'd love to see (back) at the Fort
Grace Potter & the Nocturnals Brandi Carlile Lord Huron First Aid Kit Emmylou Harris Drive-By Truckers
OH oh oh I would be loving this entire list!!
Have not met many folks that are big on Brandi Carlile but as for me.. fan since day one. Have seen her a few times and never disappointed. Shes just so qucking talented. I dont get why she's not a bigger draw. k2b - Brandi would be a grilled cheese for me!

YES! I've seen her live 5 times - she's the absolute best. Crazy talented and a seemingly genuinely great person.
Brandi is fantastic. Seen her 4 times and she always puts on a great show. I was bummed I missed her entirely unplugged tour, but tickets were a little out of my price range. She's got a new album next year so I hope to see her in some capacity
^^^ This is why I love our little corner of Inforoo. For my bd in 2012? Don took us to the Cape Cod Melody to see her. For those that dont know the venue its very small and in the round. Her show was over the top because she had just gotten engaged and was coming back to MA to get married in the fall. We would have had some great video had Quacker not been both holding the camera And singing along at the same time. Fantastic night.

Ha-ha. Yes, we played back the video and realized my sweet vocals were about all you could hear. By sweet I mean several bars off key. It was a great show though and a nice venue. We also saw Joe Cocker and BB King there.
I love this community. I just came here to post that I've been recently blown away by some of Brandi's new music. She's folkier and hipper than ever. And with a new album coming out in March (I think) and tour dates that make her very plausible, I'd consider her a lock.
NFF has been kind of quiet on Facebook lately---does anyone know if tickets go on sale next week sometime like last year? Can't wait to hear more of everyone's hopes for this year's performers. I always discover more artists I love through conversations here. Happy New Year to all!

The New Year is here, and so is our Early Bird 3-Day Offer!
As many of you know, each year the Early Bird offer has sold out faster than the previous year- in 2013 it was mere minutes.
We’re continuing the tradition of rewarding our most loyal folk by offering 10% of our tickets at the Early Bird price. As always, it will be the very best deal we offer at $179 for all three days - and it’s likely to sell out just as fast. Luckily, once the Early Bird is gone, all other ticket types will become available, including regularly priced 3-day tickets, 2-day tickets and single day tickets. No code will be needed to purchase regular price tickets.
Pre-Sale starts at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, January 15th.
YOUR PROMO CODE IS: THEGULL
CLICK HERE ON WEDNESDAY TO BUY (Service charges apply)
Offer not available to the general public and is only good while supplies last. There is a six ticket limit including children’s tickets. Any customer purchasing over the 6 ticket limit will have their additional tickets cancelled. There will be print delay on all ticket orders until June 3rd.
The artist line-up will be announced at a later date.

I remember skipping a class in college last year to try to get the discounted pre-sale tickets. Still sold out too fast. Got 'em right away with regular sale though! Ahhhh! Newport! Newport! Newport!

Quacker and i sit side by side and started at the same time. I got pre-sale, he did not. Those 1000 pre-sales go fast.
They tell us "Rock'n'roll is the devil's music." Well, let's say we know that rock is the devil's music, and we know that it is, for sure … At least he fuckin' jams! If it's a choice between eternal Hell and good tunes, and eternal Heaven and New Kids on the fuckin' Block … I'm gonna be surfin' on the lake of fire, rockin' out.
Yikes. I need to start figuring out my festival plans for next summer. It'll be such a crazy summer for work it's hard for me to plan this far in advance this year! I am guessing with NFF if something does unfortunately come up, it's probably easy to get my money back on my tickets.
Also, have the Dodos ever played NFF? They seem like an awesome choice for a more upbeat folk band.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
