"Out of the many iconic moments in our history, one event has become inextricably linked with our festival by the sea. It is with great excitement that we introduce the final set of the weekend: 65 Revisited. For more insight on how we plan to celebrate this moment, check out our latest podcast episode. "
Any sort of focus on '65 makes me think there's a good chance we're getting Dylan. Also looks like announcements are done! Let wild speculation take over this thread and carry it for the next two months

YEP, Officially buying a Sunday ticket. If anyone has an extra I'd love to go that route before stubhub.
This is the headliner it seems...they said final act of the weekend..def Dylan!
I very much doubt Dylan will be there
If anything, I'd guess this means Dylan almost certainly WON'T be there. This "65 Revisited" thing would be a way to honor the occassion without him actually agreeing to play. But then again I haven't listened to the podcast yet.
It mentions artists calling Jay up and asking how they can honor the moment, it sounds like it's going to be a big tribute show. I'm way more excited for that then Dylan playing

Same here.....though it'd be neat for him to come out for one song at the end or something. Still, a ton of artists contributing Dylan songs sound amazing. Hope they reveal more details before the fest.
Yeah this will be incredible. I'm hoping it's the headliner. First artist guess is Taylor Goldsmith (or all of Dawes), which would be a reason they have that day open

In theory yes that would be great, but it's not a very Dylan thing to do.
Summarizing a little bit of the podcast:
They are planning to take artists at the current point in time of folk music to celebrate the moment but not try to recreate it. Trying to get as many people as possible

Time to figure out which artists on the lineup have covered Dylan (and which songs).
The Felice Brothers have been compared to Dylan/The Band a lot (especially Ian's earlier stuff) and I could see them coming out for a song, maybe. Ian is weird sometimes so he may not be into this but I hope they're included.
So I've had this idea lately that Courtney Barnett could do a really great cover of "Subterranean Homesick Blues." If that could happen as part of this I would go wild

Not at all. I'm not really expecting it and it WOULD feel out of character for him to show up and smile and be like "Aren't I great? Thanks for all the memories folks".
It's probably more likely that Dylan wears a disguise and takes a boat out on the water to listen from a distance (with no one knowing how close he is).
