As many of you know I am about 4220.732 miles from Nashville as the crow flies. This makes me a little bit sad.
Sometimes you visit a place and it feels like home, for many reasons, most of which can't be explained. It just feels right. This is how it feels in Tennessee for me.
I have been a few times (my Nan lives just outside Knoxville), I would like to visit no more, I'd like to move.
I have a degree in Conservation and Environment, experience in loads of different sectors.
Someone find me a job somewhere awesome, or near somewhere awesome? Are there any Inforooers that are business owners and need someone who is very good at pushing and lifting, moderately tall and has an English accent?

Thanks Y'all. (see I have the Lingo down already)
Do you want to move to Nashville or just anywhere in the state? If you are wanting to be around this area, I will keep my eyes and ears open for a job.
Though I'm not sure how the job application works for non-citizens... paging dreamingtree !

It requires a company to sponsor, and it has to be a skilled position and it gets easier if there is a shortage of qualified people that helps.
Borders are really annoying. I was born some place so therefore I can't just go to another place.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I used to always say that I wish I was a Southern belle (from Savannah specifically).
I'm the worst Southern girl ever. growing up, people always used to ask me where I was from and no one ever believed it was here (SC)... I talk too fast and I'm too direct. I do say "y'all" but I only have an accent when I'm drunk or really tired.
to the OP, might want to watch the "Shit Southern Women Say" YouTube videos before signing up to marry one via mail order

Ha! talking fast. Bonnie and I having a conversation confuses the southern boys.

I'm pretty sure I saw eyes roll back when we got in it And I agree, o'neil, you aren't too stereotypical!

I can't say it never crossed my mind, but I don't see myself living below the Mason-Dixon Line
Why? I know a small amount of American history, so I know what the line is. But Barbecue food and country music?
Inforoo is predominantly from the South, so the stones will start flying at me (especially from Dave Maynar who can probably list these reasons for me. )

I like where I live and have no real urge to move anywhere where I will get angry all of the time. (I live in Connecticut)
We're blue:
We were the second state to legalize gay marriage:
We recently opened up our first medical marijuana dispensary:
I'm an extreme atheist and don't want to live where religion is pushed in my face everyday on billboards, bumper stickers, etc.. I HATE being told to have a blessed day which every cashier and passerbyer says in the South.
On a less serious subject, BBQ is fine, but as a whole I really don't like southern food. Especially sweet tea
And it drives me nuts that people can say coke instead of soda
So... you can see that Tennessee is represented as a different color in every single one of these maps. It would not be my cup of tea. I also love living up north for 4 full real seasons (I love both a cold, snowy winter as well as a hot summer), and I love living in the North East for its proximity to everywhere else. I can be in NYC or Boston in 2 hours. I can be on the ocean in 1.5 hours (or the Long Island Sound in 45 minutes) or on a huge ski mountain in Vermont in 2 hours (small mountains in 35 minutes). I like being in a small, highly populated state, but yet there is still a lot of farms and trees. My hometown elementary school was sandwiched between farms, but I could get to the capital city in 20 minutes.
On the other hand, there are tons of amazing Inforooers in Tennessee, hence my my random Nashville musings.
