Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Also, it should be considered that Kendrick will likely have a shorter headliner type slot than most (90 minutes maybe?) because of Deadmau5 playing on the What after him. I expect that to happen more in the future.

Radiohead isn't touring that we know of yet.... doesn't mean it couldn't happen... lol
And when you compare it to the headliners of the past 3 years, it feels extremely weak to me. But then again, so does Coachella and Governor's Ball. I guess maybe I was just spoiled with past lineups.
Like are you seriously telling me Deadmau5 is going to close the What Stage? That just doesn't seem right at all.

That is what we've been told. Even if Radiohead ends up doing some kind of tour later, it seems pretty obvious they weren't ready to make plans at the time Bonnaroo needed to solidify a booking. I'd put them near the top of possibilities for next year, but people need to have an idea how festivals come together before they get into criticism mode. Nobody has knocked their headliners out of the park this year for a reason.
Im not too excited for any of Insiders confirmation but Im still gonna wait till Tuesday before making any judgements
But again.... Deadmau5 closing the What Stage?
What has the world come to?
Oh, and what about Governor's Ball having Kanye in 2013 when he wasn't on tour? It's not impossible to book a headliner thats not on tour...
For the right amount of money they could have anyone they wanted available to them that a) isnt dead b) isnt already booked (and even that shouldnt be a definite rule) c) hasnt given up performing/doesnt want to perform anymore.
This whole "Bonnaroo did the best with what was available to them" argument is shit. (Unless this is of course the best that was available to them, then I dont want to live anymore) Good try sport, we'll get em next year. Heres a participation trophy for everyone too, so noone feels bad about sucking
There will be a valid argument for the "they could have done better" when another festival from this season actually does significantly better (i.e. not just better because you like AC/DC better than Billy Joel).
I'm interested in the huge name that, I think, Forecastle? supposedly got, but none of this first round of headliners has been any better than Bonnaroo's.

I mean, the problem is "C" on your list. There are plenty of bands who don't really feel like doing a festival this summer, no matter what. That's just how it is.

I think we're seeing the reality of this year for festival headliners. I'm not as disappointed as some other people, but it's clearly an underwhelming list compared to previous years. As much as I love Kendrick I admit that they are taking a major risk putting him in an unopposed headlining slot. I don't foresee Lollapalooza or ACL blowing Roo or Coachella out of the water either, let alone something like Forecastle.

I just looked it up, it is Firefly (which makes more sense) that Launchpad says booked a huge name. Not Forecastle.

Im totally fine with EDM on what stage. Which stage LN EDM draws are always huge. I think it will help disperse the crowds better
And as longs as the undercard is good, I could care less who is headlining
Yup. It will also allow other LN shows to be less bothered. It's really annoying to go to a late night show and have a hard time hearing what you actually came to listen to.
newjack: Show Strand of Oaks back on Set 22 in KC and asked Tim if they were playing Bonnaroo in 2015 , his comment was "count on it." Sep 16, 2014 at 10:28am

Yup. Put Deadmau5 as far away from me as possible. On one hand, I feel that the LN What slot is somewhat prestigious, considering the only previous ones were Phish and Jay-Z and those shows were unreal. But in the grand scheme of things what do I care about the "legacy" of a LN What act? Why should I care who deserves it and who doesn't?
Deadmau5 LN on What is hugely beneficial to my situation because there's NO way I'll be there and it will absolutely open up space in the tent area. Last year had moments around midnight where even navigating from one tent to another was frustrating and slow. His show will probably end no later than 1 am but that's enough to put a dent in the usual LN crowd. Would I prefer a different act than Deadmau5 billed 4th overall? Hell no but I'm making some lemonade over here and the improved crowd situation will be good for everyone. And I bet they schedule someone else on the Which Stage later that same night.
This placement is gonna make for a great mock schedule thread. Lookin at you Boner

i guess its that time of the year when i express my confusion over the unbridled adoration everyone has for moon taxi. i saw them open for umphrey's a couple years ago and it was just standard guitar driven jamband rock stuff. if anyone has a youtube link or something that proves me wrong please provide it.

Moon Taxi are just decent. I'd only see them if they were doing the RATM cover band thing. I believe they're talking about another band called Moon Hooch

I just think they put out good music, put on a fun live show and each member is really talented. Nothing crazy about them but I wouldn't miss their show. Their set at Roo 2012 was a lot of fun.

Yeah I was talking about my unreasonable love for Moon Hooch.

Kinda off topic from the Moon Hooch convo, but My Kind of Woman just came on my iTunes and I'm really curious/stressed about where they're going to put Mac Demarco on the schedule, imo he's to big for a Thursday night slot, but maybe I'm wrong

i feel like your wrong. He's perfect for the Ty Segall spot. It will be a softer mosh pit this year, but a pit non the less

that would be great, Thursdays usually don't have to many conflicts for me
