Does anyone have experience with coming from Brooklyn? The friend I stay with is moving out there from the UWS and I can't decide what's going to be the easiest way for me to get up to Randall's.
I have no experience with it, but I would try out the shuttle service. It picks up and drops off right in front of Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg (which is also one of the locations they usually have after parties every night).

Find out where about. You may get into Astoria if you are on train than transfers into that direction.
So this isn't Gov Ball related but I figured it was the best place to reach NYC based inforoosters
I won't be able to make it to see They Might Be Giants in Brooklyn tonight, if anyone wants the ticket for free just message me and I'll email you the pdf

Took the subway from bay ridge last year. Probably a 45 minute ride, with a transfer in midtown to the 4,5,6. I liked it because it let me get a little pregame time on the ride.
I found a mock schedule which I really hope is pretty close to what we are gonna get. I have a lot of bands on Friday and I really hope the conflicts aren't too severe. Any suggestions on Saturday because that is the day that is lacking most for me besides bjork who is my number one of the entire festival.

I think I'm good on seeing Weird Al again after the Roo set a few years back. The only conflict that day that would really bother me is Noel vs Big G. I know my friends would want to go to Big G, but I'd want to see Noel. If that holds up, I'd have to go on a solo adventure for a bit.

I missed the Weird Al set at Roo and wanted to see this one. Would be lame to conflict with Black keys. Everything else worked otu for me though, if that ends up being close to the real schedule.
What's a bigger bummer: Bjork opening for Jack Johnson or Bjork opening for DeadMau5?
Jack Johnson. What a snoozefest. Modern day Jimmy Buffet. Makes me never want to go to the beach again so I don't have to hear people blasting Banana Pancakes while playing volleyball.

I'm in the same boat. I know my friends would want to go to Big G but I already have seen them a few times now so I would rather see Noel since I have never seen him. I may end up being on a solo adventure also if that is the case.
Dont punish yourself because your friends make poor choices. Watch Noel. He's worth it.
Haha I'm not planning on it. I enjoy roaming around fests by myself so if it comes to it I will gladly go to Noel without my friends. I mean I love seeing shows with a bunch of my friends and everything, but I really enjoy the feeling of just roaming around solo at a fest and chatting it up with random people and doing whatever I damn well please.
His new album is pretty great too. Much better than the first HFB album which I thought was a little plodding. He did a good job producing himself.
I actually like his debut slightly more. Although I do appreciate with this new album he's actually experimenting more musically and venturing off from his typical songwriting comfort zone. Still I think his two solo albums are better than the last 4 Oasis records.
Also, I know I keep yapping about Noel, but Im so pumped for his set (and the Webster Hall show)! His tour kicked off yesterday in Europe, and the set list is pretty great. Especially this new rendition of Champagne Supernova:
